In Inauguration Rioting, Even Those Who Did Not Support Trump Were Targeted

On Donald Trump’s inauguration day, protests raged through the streets.

Anarchists spray painted buildings, smashed out windows on storefronts, and in at least one instance, after smashing the windows and spray painting the side, they set a limousine on fire.

It turns out, the limo belonged to a Muslim immigrant, by the name of Muhammad Ashraf, the owner of Nationwide Chauffered Services.

Ashraf, not a supporter of Donald Trump, said:

“I have a different point of view,” Ashraf told Red Alert. “I did not agree with many of the things he said, but that still does not give me the right to go and affect someone’s livelihood.”

I’m sorry, Mr. Ashraf, but that sounded a bit too much like common sense and decency.

Furthermore, when people are being hurt because of the mindless actions of these rioters, their right to be heard ceases.

Ashraf’s employee, Luis Villarroel, 58, was dropping a client off at their destination when things turned ugly. Protesters smashed doors and windows in the vicinity, but then turned their attention to Villarroel and the limo. People began pounding on the car and started throwing stones and bricks in his direction. The driver ended up going to the hospital for cuts on his hands and arms from glass being shattered by thrown projectiles. […]

“[We’ve] been in business for over 25 years and this is the first time this has happened,” Ashraf said.

Currently, Mr. Ashraf is unsure as to if his insurance will cover the loss of the limo, which puts him in the hole by about $70,000, along with the loss of commission and the medical costs for his driver.

A GoFundMe page was set up to help defray the costs not covered by insurance.

This is just one story from that day. I’m sure there are others that didn’t appear as dramatic as the sight of a blazing limousine, but which were just as jarring for those who had to endure them.

Mr. Ashraf pointed to the Women’s March as an example of how to protest peacefully.

As stupid as I think the whole thing was, I have to say he’s right. I don’t recall hearing about or seeing anything as violent and destructive as what went on with the DisruptJ20 crowd last Friday.

It’s really pathetic to know that leftists have become so unhinged that they would risk seeing their streets – our streets – look like some third world, war torn battle zone, all because they didn’t get their way.
