Wait… what??
Just a heads up, guys, but Donald Trump doesn’t like tweeting.
No, seriously. Those words came out of his mouth.
Said Trump, and I’m assuming he said this while sober and with complete seriousness:
“Look, I don’t like tweeting,” he said during a Fox News interview scheduled to air Wednesday. “I have other things I could be doing.”
“But I get very dishonest media, very dishonest press. And it’s my only way that I can counteract. When people make misstatements about me, I’m able to say it and call it out.”
Trump additionally promised he would reduce his Twitter activity once the press treats him more respectfully.
“Now if the press were honest, which it’s not, I would absolutely not use Twitter,” he told host Ainsley Earhardt on “Fox & Friends.” “I wouldn’t have to.”
And a very dishonest president-elect, it appears.
A large bulk of Trump’s campaign has been carried out over Twitter.
Before and since the election, Trump has tweeted everything from attacks against his opponents to praise for foreign potentates.
Many fear that once president, his Twitter addiction will not subside, and his hair trigger will cause him to tweet out something of vital, national security.
His tweets have previously caused the stock market to flip and flop, so the less time Trump spends on Twitter, the better everyone feels.
That being said, if Trump is waiting on everyone to be nice to him, just to keep him off Twitter, we can look forward to four years of rambling, maniacal, fever-tweets.
