He really is a petty little man, and he obviously isn’t as ready to let go of his former life as a reality TV star as he would have us believe.

President-elect Trump just couldn’t resist taking a swipe at the new host for his old vehicle, “The Celebrity Apprentice,” Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“Wow, the ratings are in and Arnold Schwarzenegger got ‘swamped’ (or destroyed) by comparison to the ratings machine, DJT,” Trump said, referring to himself. “So much for being a movie star-and that was season 1 compared to season 14. Now compare him to my season 1. But who cares, he supported Kasich & Hillary.”

First of all, the referring to himself as a “ratings machine,” and in third person is just goofy. Somebody tell him to stop. Secondly, are you kidding me?

The debut of Schwarzenegger as host had about 4.9 million viewers, which is about a 35 percent drop in ratings from Trump’s time as host.

Trump is still listed as an executive producer of the show, so maybe he has a legitimate concern, but that’s not how it came across.

It came across as petty and snarky.

Also, he’s two weeks away from taking on another, far more important role. I would think his main concern shouldn’t be TV ratings, but trying not to burn the house down before he ever takes office.

And now I may have to actually start watching that show.
