The news broke last week of Donald Trump’s charitable foundation operating without proper certification for a charity in New York.
For several weeks, the news of Trump using the Trump Foundation as a personal piggy bank, paying off lawsuits and spending on personal extravagances (such as a 6-foot portrait of himself), have been around.
All this would lead most to consider the legitimacy of the foundation, and how it could continue to take in monies from donors, under such questionable circumstances.
Today, the New York Attorney General’s office is moving against the Trump Foundation and has issued a Cease and Desist order against the foundation, for operating without the proper certification.
