Here Is Who Should be Held Accountable for the Virus Deaths (for Starters)

Whom to blame for the virus deaths? The ChiComs? Authoritarian bureaucrats and politicians? Public health bureaucrats? Anti-Trump legacy media? Big Pharma? “Big Science” periodicals? All of the above? And how do we find out for sure? Let us examine what we know today.

The month of May was a bad one for the ChiComs and their allies in the Democrat-media complex who have been obfuscating the origins of the virus for both political reasons and also to avoid accountability/retribution. State-run Communist Chinese media, their World Health Organization allies, and fellow travelers in Western governments and media have led a worldwide agitprop campaign to deflect blame for the virus to anyone and anywhere except China and the Wuhan Institute of Virology: (1) it was an accident of nature as the virus jumped from bats (or <<your favorite candidate animal goes here>>), (2) the Americans did it, or (3) anybody but China was responsible. Getting the Uniparty to condemn as “racist” the labeling of the virus as the “China virus” was the icing on the cake: when all else fails, play the racism card. Never mind the traditional convention of labeling viruses by the location of first occurrence, for example:

  • Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (1896: Rocky Mountains, Idaho)
  • West Nile virus (1937: West Nile District, Uganda)
  • Lyme disease (1975: Lyme, Connecticut)
  • Ebola hemorrhagic fever (1976: Ebola River, Zaire)
  • Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) (2012: Saudi Arabia)

But no “WuFlu” or even “China virus” for some (un)magical reason. Lo, the power of ChiCom propaganda!

That said, all roads are now pointing to that biosafety level 4 (BSL-4) laboratory in Wuhan as Ground Zero, as well as the exposure of those motivated by politics to suppress the facts. Here is May’s chronology of disclosures:

2 May: The dam began to break with a lengthy expose by Nicholas Wade, the long-time former science writer for The New York Times. After skewering the conventional wisdom about the virus origin and pointing the finger at NIAID’s Dr. Fauci, this was his conclusion:

[T]he more months pass without the natural emergence theory gaining a shred of supporting evidence, the less plausible it may seem. Perhaps the international community of virologists will come to be seen as a false and self-interested guide. The common sense perception that a pandemic breaking out in Wuhan might have something to do with a Wuhan lab cooking up novel viruses of maximal danger in unsafe conditions could eventually displace the ideological insistence that whatever Trump said can’t be true.

3 May: “A classified study of the origin of SARS-CoV-2 conducted a year ago by scientists at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, the Department of Energy’s premier biodefense research institution, concluded the novel coronavirus at the heart of the current pandemic may have originated in a laboratory in China.”

7 May: The Wall Street Journal expanded on the Nicholas Wade article and noted that Senate Republicans were pursuing answers about the WIV and virus origins:

[T]he ranking member on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R., Wash.), and two Republican colleagues on the committee wrote to Secretary of State Antony Blinken to “request that the U.S. Department of State release unclassified documents and declassify other documents for public release, as appropriate, related to the assertion in the Department’s January 15, 2021 Fact Sheet that the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in Wuhan, China collaborated with the Chinese military in conducting classified research, including laboratory animal experiments.”

Did any of the results of those experiments leave the lab and make their way around the world?

9 May: ZeroHedge summarized an article in The Weekend Australian that disclosed a PLA report obtained by the State Dept in which Chinese military scientists discussed how to weaponize SARS coronaviruses back in 2015 (was that what happened with “COVID-19”?):

The chairmen of the British and Australian foreign affairs and intelligence committees, Tom Tugendhat and James Paterson, say the document raises major concerns about China’s lack of transparency over the origins of COVID-19.

The Chinese-language paper, titled The Unnatural Origin of SARS and New Species of Man-Made Viruses as Genetic Bioweapons, outlines China’s progress in the research field of biowarfare.

“Following developments in other scientific fields, there have been major advances in the delivery of biological agents,” it states.

“For example, the new-found ability to freeze-dry micro-organisms has made it possible to store biological agents and aerosolise them during attacks.”

Among the most bizarre claims by the military scientists is their theory that SARS-CoV-1, the virus that caused the SARS epidemic of 2003, was a man-made bioweapon, deliberately unleashed on China by “terrorists”

10 May: Former CIA operations officer Charles “Sam” Faddis added the following information to the lab leak theory:

In an interview in February of this year, former Deputy National Security Advisor (DNSA) Mathew Pottinger said the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) had been carrying out biological warfare experiments in Wuhan for years and tried to cover up the COVID-19 outbreak. Pottinger said that U.S. intelligence sources had strong reason to believe that the “Chinese military was doing secret classified animal experiments in that same laboratory [Wuhan Institute of Virology]” as early as 2017. He added that there is “good reason to believe” that an outbreak of a “flu-like illness” had occurred among the scientists in the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in the fall of 2019, just before the first cases of a new type of pneumonia were being reported in Wuhan.

Pottinger stressed that although the Wuhan lab bills itself as a “civilian institution,” U.S. intelligence has determined that the lab has collaborated on publications and secret projects with China’s military. Pottinger also stated the lab has undertaken “classified research, including laboratory animal experiments,” on behalf of the PLA since 2017. Pottinger noted as well that when the outbreak first began it was the PLA, not some civilian entity, that was put in charge of handling the situation in Wuhan. It was the military that was called in.

10 May: The Aussies have been leading the charge in investigating and reporting on the origins of the virus. The Bolt Report (by Australian Andrew Bolt on Sky News) provided this excellent video summary that points the finger at the WIV and Dr. Fauci, among others:

14 May: Publications around the world (including RedState) threw some shade on the ChiComs in reporting on an open letter from leading virologists in Science magazine stating that an “accidental” release from a laboratory was a “viable theory” (can’t have been deliberate!!):

Seemingly completely out of the blue, a group of 18 of the most prominent virologists and epidemiologists across the globe published an open letter in Science Magazine Online titled, “Investigate the Origins of COVID-19.”

Guess who one of the signatories was? That’s right. Dr. Ralph Baric. In the introductory paragraph they state they believe that theories of a laboratory origin remain viable:

“[M]ore investigation is still needed to determine the origin of the pandemic. Theories of accidental release from a lab and zoonotic spillover both remain viable.”

14 May: The crescendo continued with The Wall Street Journal back at it in a “Best of the Web” article quoting from a number of sources (MIT Technology Review, Science, The New York Times, and The Washington Post) the need for a “real investigation into the origin of COVID-19” (meaning that nobody believes the ChiCom/WHO claim of a “natural” origin theory anymore).

14 May: Dr. Peter Navarro (former Assistant to the President and the Trump White House) postulated that, given “nine indisputable facts of evidence, Dr. Fauci is for all practical purposes “the father of the virus.” He concludes:

Fauci must immediately resign and apologize to the American people and the world for errors in judgment that in all likelihood have led to the current pandemic that has killed millions, destroyed tens of millions of jobs, and inflicted trillions of dollars in damages on the American and world economies. And the Chinese Communist Party should echo these apologies.

In this case, because Fauci’s NIH funding did not go directly to the Wuhan lab but rather to the intermediaries of Daszak and Baric, Fauci wants us to believe his hands are clean. Yet, Fauci likely knew about the research Daszak was conducting in Wuhan and that Baric was in close collaboration with the Wuhan Lab’s “bat lady” – and if he didn’t, that’s even more grounds for his resignation.

17 May: The National Pulse reminded us: “The Wuhan Institute of Virology erased the name of several military-linked researchers from its website in mid-2020.”

21 May: Other countries connect the dots. A blistering article in the Indian online magazine OPEN takes Communist China to task for, among other things, suppressing information about the virus from the rest of the world while using the pandemic for economic gain before concluding:

China’s persistent refusal to come clean, coupled with the rising international tide of distrust of that country, has helped fuel greater interest in investigating the pandemic’s true genesis. An increasing number of international scientists have started to debate whether the pandemic occurred because of a lab leak in Wuhan. Fact-based scientists are fond of the aphorism, “Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.”

China may believe that it has got away with creating the Covid-19 pandemic, as it did with spawning the SARS pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic, however, marks a watershed in history that will continue to dog China. Thanks to Covid-19, many countries have learned hard lessons about China-dependent supply chains, and international attitudes towards Xi’s regime have shifted.

23 May: The Wall Street Journal dropped this little bombshell that destroyed China’s claim that the virus was first detected in “late December 2019”:

Three researchers from China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology became sick enough in November 2019 that they sought hospital care, according to a previously undisclosed U.S. intelligence report that could add weight to growing calls for a fuller probe of whether the Covid-19 virus may have escaped from the laboratory.

26 May: The Wall Street Journal editorial board published this scathing op-ed that took aim at Dr. Fauci and also The Hologram. The intro paragraph:

President Biden on Wednesday ordered U.S. intelligence to dig deeper into the origins of Covid-19, a reversal after he reportedly ordered a State Department investigative unit shut down. Mr. Biden is trying to cover for his embarrassing closure of the investigation because the dam has finally broken on the evidence that the virus may have escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV). The shame is that it took so long because the suspicious facts have been apparent from the start.

26 May: Ivermectin to the rescue! Well, if not in the US thanks to the CDC et al, then at least in Mexico City:

A city-wide initiative in Mexico’s bustling capital to prescribe ivermectin to COVID-19 positive patients has resulted in a 52–76 percent reduction in hospitalizations, according to research by the Mexican Digital Agency for Public Innovation (DAPI), Mexico’s Ministry of Health, and the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS).

26 May: Speaking of ivermectin, Dr. Pierre Cory of the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance detailed the suppression of successful ivermectin trials (and much other useful information!), which cost the lives of “at least 500,000 people”:

[T]here have been a total of 56 trials involving 469 scientists and 18,447 patients. Of these, 28 were randomized control trials (RCT), the type of trial considered highly authoritative in the medical community.

Together these have shown an 85 percent improvement as a preventative against the disease when taken before exposure. There has been a 78 percent patient improvement when administered early and a 46 percent improvement when delivered late. A 74 percent improvement in mortality was found and a 66 percent improvement across multiple areas in the 28 randomized control trials.

26 May: In an astounding reversal of censorship policy, Facebook “announced that they would no longer censor posts which claim that the virus was man-made or manufactured.” This reversal must have sent alarm bells ringing bigly in Beijing!

27 May: The Washington Times cleared up the confusion by confirming that The Hologram shut down the Trump State Dept-initiated investigation into the virus’s origins and replaced it with a “90-day review” by the intelligence community as a “gift to China” (easier for the White House to control the outcome/conclusions):

The State Department terminated a scientific inquiry into the origins of COVID-19 that was launched during the Trump administration, in part over concerns the inquiry would upset China.

The department denied a report that it had ended the scientific probe, but people familiar with the matter said that the entire team that was conducting the investigation during the Trump administration were reassigned to other bureaus not related to the virus origin controversy when the Biden administration took office.

27 May: Sure enough, Avril Haines (The Hologram’s Director of National Intelligence) muddied the waters with this IC view on the virus’s origins, despite all of increasing evidence to the contrary (the ChiComs continue to collect a return on their investments in Biden and his apparatchiks):

The U.S. Intelligence Community does not know exactly where, when, or how the COVID-19 virus was transmitted initially but has coalesced around two likely scenarios: either it emerged naturally from human contact with infected animals or it was a laboratory accident. While two elements of the IC lean toward the former scenario and one leans more toward the latter — each with low or moderate confidence — the majority of elements within the IC do not believe there is sufficient information to assess one to be more likely than the other. The IC continues to examine all available evidence, consider different perspectives, and aggressively collect and analyze new information to identify the virus’s origins.

27 May: Bloomberg News suggested that the ChiComs could clear up the controversy by simply becoming “more transparent” about the WIV and virus clinical data. Yeah, that’ll work! Reminds me of myself in suggesting that Democrats could clear up all 2020 election integrity controversies simply by allowing full forensic audits. What do the ChiComs and the Democrats have to hide, after all?

27 May: In an early attempt to excuse the misreporting of statistics and the unsupported authoritarian lockdown and masking decisions based on those stats, Government Executive published an article blaming “messy data” for the flipflopping and bad policy decisions. Surely that’ll excuse all the deaths and economic destruction that continues to this very day! And if it’s just messy data, then hey, there’s no real blame to be assigned, amirite, amirite?

28 May: The Daily Telegraph reported that UK intelligence services are going to “assist” the US intel community in that 90-day review/investigation of the virus origins. The Telegraph also quoted the CEO of Nature magazine, who stated that Nature’s position remains unchanged that the virus was likely of “natural origin.” Yeah, right; “flat-earthers” to the bitter end.

28 May: Chipping away at the false virus god Dr. Fauci continued with RedState’s Scott Hounsell reporting that he stated in 2012 that “gain of function” research into bat viruses was worth the risk of a pandemic: “[T]he benefits of such experiments and the resulting knowledge outweigh the risks.” Do you suppose the relatives/survivors of those who died from the virus over the past year think those experiments were “worth the risk”?

28 May: Studies confirm that hydroxychloroquine – suppressed by Dr. Fauci and the CDC – could have saved many lives if used, according to a meta-analysis of 245 studies worldwide. The statistics derived from those studies are astounding.

28 May: A new bombshell study by two scientists was summarized in The UK Daily Mirror that reportedly exploded the “natural virus origin” theory:

An explosive new study claims that Chinese scientists created COVID-19 in a Wuhan lab, then tried to cover their tracks by reverse-engineering versions of the virus to make it look like it evolved naturally from bats.

The shocking allegations in the study include accusations of ‘deliberate destruction, concealment or contamination of data’ at Chinese labs, and it notes the silencing and disappearance of scientists in the communist country who spoke out.

While analyzing COVID-19 samples last year in an attempt to create a vaccine, Dalgleish and Sørensen discovered ‘unique fingerprints’ in the virus that they say could only have arisen from manipulation in a laboratory.

They said they tried to publish their findings but were rejected by major scientific journals which were at the time resolute that the virus jumped naturally from bats or other animals to humans.

28 May: A ZeroHedge article asks the rhetorical question, “Is ivermectin the new penicillin?” From overseas reports, particularly during the recent viral outbreak in India, the answer would appear to be a resounding “yes” (despite legacy media attempts to wish away its success in treating cases!):

As those Indian States using Ivermectin continue to diverge in cases and deaths from those states that forbid it, the natural experiment illustrates the power of Ivermectin decisively.

Cases in Delhi, where Ivermectin was begun on April 20, dropped from 28,395 to just 2,260 on May 22. This represents an astounding 92% drop. Likewise, cases in Uttar Pradesh have dropped from 37,944 on April 24 to 5,964 on May 22 – a decline of 84%.

Delhi and Uttar Pradesh followed the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) guidance published April 20, 2021, which called for dosing of .2 mg per kg of Ivermectin per body weight for three days. This amounts to 15 mg per day for a 150-pound person or 18 mg per day for a 200-pound individual.

The other three Indian states that adopted it are all down as well. Goa is down from 4,195 to 1,647, Uttarakhand is down from 9,624 to 2,903, and Karnataka is down from 50,112 to 31,183. Goa adopted a pre-emptive policy of mass Ivermectin prevention for the entire adult population over age 18 at a dose of 12 mg daily for five days.

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu announced on May 14 they were outlawing Ivermectin in favor of the politically correct Remdesivir. As a result, Tamil Nadu’s cases are up in the same time frame from April 20 to May 22 – 10,986 to 35,873 – more than a tripling.

29 May: Nicholas Wade provided a detailed update on the likelihood of the lab leak origin theory in The Daily Telegraph, concluding:

The lab escape scenario explains the facts above rather more easily than does natural emergence. So let’s ask whose actions should be scrutinised, if the virus did indeed escape from a lab.

The first in line are Dr Shi and her colleagues. They were generating dangerous viruses in low level and arguably unsafe conditions. True, they were following the same international rules as are used by virologists everywhere. But they should have made their own assessments of the risks they were running.

Second in line for rebuke are the Chinese authorities, who have done their utmost to conceal the nature of the tragedy and their responsibility for it.

Third are virologists around the world who knew better than anyone the dangers of enhancing natural viruses but couldn’t resist the temptation. Their assurance that the benefits were real and the risks containable were premature: the benefits have been inconspicuous and the risk, if SARS2 indeed escaped from a lab, catastrophic.

29 May. Patient Zero may have finally been identified – she was diagnosed three weeks BEFORE the official ChiCom reporting of the first case:

A mistake by a leading Chinese official may have disclosed the name, address and details about one of the first people suspected of being infected with Covid-19 in Wuhan, three weeks before Beijing authorities claim they detected the initial case.

The astonishing error, revealed in a screen-grab sent to a Chinese medical journal, shows that the 61-year-old woman, known as ‘Patient Su’, lived about a mile from one of the city’s main coronavirus research labs.

29 May. This lengthy Twitter thread provided a shocking summary of the effectiveness of ivermectin in randomized clinical trials and other details, as well as a link to a peer-reviewed report in the American Journal of Therapeutics that describes the trial results and concluded:

Meta-analyses based on 18 randomized controlled treatment trials of ivermectin in COVID-19 have found large, statistically significant reductions in mortality, time to clinical recovery, and time to viral clearance. Furthermore, results from numerous controlled prophylaxis trials report significantly reduced risks of contracting COVID-19 with the regular use of ivermectin. Finally, the many examples of ivermectin distribution campaigns leading to rapid population-wide decreases in morbidity and mortality indicate that an oral agent effective in all phases of COVID-19 has been identified.

29 May. Finally, the legacy media and scientific community who all disparaged and suppressed the lab leak theory are being called to task, as detailed in an excellent Real Clear Politics article, excerpted below (emphasis added in the last sentence):

[T]he scales have suddenly fallen from the eyes of many celebrated journalists who long disparaged or ignored the lab leak theory. One of the most damning pieces was written by Donald G. McNeil Jr., who had been leading the New York Times’ COVID coverage until he was forced to resign from the paper earlier this year over racially charged remarks he’d made years before.

Stunningly, McNeil admitted that there was plenty of evidence for the lab leak early on. … We didn’t know because writers like McNeil did not emphasize them. McNeil linked to a series of pieces published April 22, 2020June 2020, and November 2020.

How did McNeil and others get it so wrong? A big reason was that many leaders of the scientific community – in an abdication of their obligation to open inquiry – claimed they had solved the puzzle. In February 2020, before the United States had acknowledged its first recorded death from COVID, 27 top virologists published a letter in the British medical journal the Lancet that “strongly condemn[ed] conspiracy theories suggesting that COVID-19 does not have a natural origin.” That March, the American journal Nature Medicine published a letter signed by 30 scientists stating, “Our analyses clearly show that SARS-CoV-2 is not a laboratory construct.”

These assurances were premature. While we can forgive journalists for taking the word of their sources, let’s note that reporters are not supposed to take dictation. Their job is to challenge claims, even from experts. This responsibility became ever more pressing as counter-evidence emerged. We don’t know why scientists and science writers were so intent on shutting down avenues of inquiry, but McNeil’s piece suggests the animus was political.

Conclusion. Of course “the animus was political”! It suited both the ChiComs and the Democrat Party to ride the virus, suppress the truth, and get rid of their common enemy: Donald J. Trump. But the dam has burst on the WIV lab leak theory despite ChiCom and Democrat-media complex efforts to suppress and control the narrative. Why that dam has burst just now raises unanswered questions requiring further investigation in a future article.  Reports on Dr. Fauci’s involvement in gain-of-function research are exposing his direct responsibility for the virus. The Hologram is trying to control the lab leak investigation and attempt to sweep it under the rug. Hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin have saved lives – lots of them! – but Americans only have whiffs and snippets of information about the reality that these drugs could have rescued a LOT of their relatives and friends if the CDC et al had simply authorized their early use and then publicized their effectiveness, as opposed to the useless mask propaganda. There is also a lot of blame-shifting in the process as the “pandemic” (which should be more properly entitled a “panic-demic”) has essentially ended in the US.

While the ChiComs need to be held accountable – and pay reparations (if we lived in a just world) – the likelihood of that happening is slim to none in a universe in which the ostensible leader of the West is the heavily compromised and horribly weak Joe Biden. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t ferret out those accountable for US deaths in this country, including lockdown governors, peer-reviewed scientific journals, federal bureaucrats, and Big Pharma seeking to suppress the effectiveness of therapeutic drugs like ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine, complicit media, and virtually everyone in The Hologram’s White House.

In fact, what is needed is to discover EVERYONE who conspired to suppress information about those inexpensive therapeutic treatments, as well as the origin of the virus. For starters, a series of freedom of information requests should be filed to collect any and all communications and emails that include the words “antiviral agents (remdesivir, hydroxychloroquine, chloroquine, lopinavir, umifenovir, favipiravir, and oseltamivir) and supporting agents (Ascorbic acid, Azithromycin, Corticosteroids, Nitric oxide, IL-6 antagonists),” among others. Surely there were discussions among various individuals on suppressing those drugs in favor of the development and distribution of experimental (and expensive) virus shots/vaccines. We need to understand the decision-making process in all of its gory details, and who was involved in making those decisions. And then some class-action lawsuits need to be filed by the relatives/survivors of loved ones lost to the virus.

The dead in the US and around the world are the direct result of politicized science and those who let the ChiComs off the hook early on when coming forward with all clinical data about the virus and its release could have saved lives, as well as those who suppressed the life-saving capabilities of low-cost therapeutic drugs. The time for some harsh accountability has come – at home and abroad!

The end.
