Judicial Watch Files FOIAs on Former US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch’s 'Alleged Monitoring of President Trump’s Family, Lawyer and Journalists'

Remember the House Democrats’ impeachment witness Marie Yovanovitch? She has had an illustrious career covered previously in this article, as summarized below:

  • Yovanovitch – whose parents were Commies – became a career State Dept employee and eventually a US ambassador twice over, ending up in Kyiv.
  • She was a loyal Democrat operative in the service of Obama and the Clintons and looks to have been groomed exactly as a trusted agent to protect Democrat interests (corruption) in Ukraine. She was also unquestionably anti-Trump and acted accordingly.
  • She was fired for cause by President Trump in May 2019 despite continued frantic attempts by Democrat-controlled media and various Deep Staters to spin that firing otherwise in order to limit their criminal exposure in Ukraine and “get Trump.”
  • She almost certainly requested the illegal monitoring of US citizens from her post in Kyiv in order to support covering up Democrat crimes in Ukraine.

Note that last item in particular, which is part of her real reason for having been posted to Kyiv. What could that illegal monitoring entail? Judicial Watch has been looking into the former ambassador’s activities and filed two Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits last week in order to obtain more information:

Judicial Watch is going to court to uncover details of the alleged monitoring of President Trump’s family, lawyer and journalists, as ordered by the since-recalled U.S. Ambassador to the Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch. The two Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits against the State Department for documents tied to the alleged monitoring of President Trump’s intimate circle and journalists covering him is an extension of our Judicial Watch investigation, which began in October 2019, into the alleged monitoring, via CrowdTangle and other means. Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch is alleged to have ordered State Department entities to conduct the monitoring. The list of the alleged targets includes:

Jack Posobiec
Donald Trump Jr.
Laura Ingraham
Sean Hannity
Michael McFaul (Obama’s ambassador to Russia)
Dan Bongino
Ryan Saavedra
Rudy Giuliani
Sebastian Gorka
John Solomon
Lou Dobbs
Pamella Geller
Sara Carter

Amb. Yovanovitch reportedly ordered monitoring keyed to the following search terms: “Biden,” “Giuliani,” “Soros” and “Yovanovitch.”

While there has been much focus on the criminal actions of the DoJ and FBI as related to FISA abuse and the origins of Crossfire Hurricane (the FBI’s counter-intelligence investigation into the Trump campaign’s alleged relationship with Russia), the concurrent shenanigans of the State Department have escaped serious public scrutiny.

We know that Hillary Clinton’s top-level aides at the State Department were culpable in mishandling classified emails but were let off the hook by Comey’s FBI. But what about John Kerry’s tenure as Secretary of State, which coincided with Crossfire Hurricane and the squelching of Ukraine’s investigation into Burisma-related corruption, and by extension, Hunter Biden? There is much to uncover and, as usual, Judicial Watch is leading the way. Marie Yovanovitch – and many others! – should be afraid of what will be uncovered, as James Comey isn’t around to protect the likes of her anymore.

The end.
