Last night, on Tucker Carlson’s show, Carlson recounted how a batch of documents he described as “authentic,” “real,” and “damning” went missing in transit, by accountable package, between New York and California.
According to Carlson, the company’s security people have done an extensive investigation, and they can’t pinpoint when or where the documents disappeared. Only that they were there…and then they weren’t. Via American Greatness:
The United Parcel Service (UPS) says it is “conducting an urgent investigation” into the missing Hunter Biden documents that were shipped by Fox News from New York to Los Angeles earlier this week.
UPS confirmed to left-wing financial news website Business Insider that the cache of documents, mentioned by Fox News host Tucker Carlson on his Wednesday night show, disappeared somewhere within its network.
Carlson said that “on Monday of this week, we received from a source a collection of confidential documents related to the Biden family. We believe those documents are authentic, they’re real, and they’re damning.”
The host explained that the package was initially sent to Fox news’s main office in New York while he and a producer were in Los Angeles conducting his interview with Hunter Biden’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski about the Biden’s corrupt business dealings in China, Ukraine, and other countries.
“So we texted a producer in New York, and we told him to send those documents to us in L.A., and he did that,” Carlson said.
The host didn’t specify the name of the company but noted that it is “a large national carrier—a brand name company that we’ve used, you’ve used, countless times.”
Carlson said “the shipping company” contacted him Tuesday morning to say that the package “had been opened and the contents were missing.”
He stressed that the carrier took the situation seriously and began an immediate investigation into the missing package.
“They traced the envelope from the moment our producers dropped it off in Manhattan on Monday all the way to 3:44 a.m. yesterday morning. That’s when an employee at a sorting facility in another state noticed that our package was open and empty [editor–my emphasis],” he explained.
Just a short while ago, UPS announced it had recovered the contents of the package:
UPS said Thursday it found a package that Fox News host Tucker Carlson complained the night before had never made its way to him. Carlson said on his Fox News show Wednesday that he was expecting a package containing some kind of incriminating information related to Democratic nominee Joe Biden, but it never showed up.
“After an extensive search, we have found the contents of the package and are arranging for its return,” UPS told TheWrap. “UPS will always focus first on our customers, and will never stop working to solve issues and make things right. We work hard to ensure every package is delivered, including essential goods, precious family belongings and critical healthcare.”
Just to reiterate, this NOT about a package that was misplaced. This is about a package that arrived but emptied its contents en route, and now the contents have been found.
In theory, this could be a case of “sh** happens.” I’m sure incidents of packages being opened, contents removed, and the contents later found happens all the time. But what are the odds of it happening to a package from a media organization to a nationally known media personality containing documents pertaining to the unfolding scandal enveloping Joe Biden?
I don’t want to go conspiracist here, but, four years ago, I would have laughed in your face if you’d told me the FBI and CIA were collaborating to spy upon a presidential campaign, to insert informers into that campaign, and attempted to remove a president from office by using a fraudulent premise to create the justification for an open-ended investigation of that president, his family, his businesses, and his closest advisers.
First off, there is this similarity. Sharyl Attkisson was put under FBI surveillance because of stories she’d written that didn’t reflect well upon the Obama-Biden administration.
1-Tucker Carlson described how documents the network mailed were intercepted and "disappeared."
Reminds me during govt. spy operation against me, I documented pkg. sent to me via post office, intercepted after delivery to CBS, later delivered to me opened and flash drive viewed,— Sharyl Attkisson🕵️♂️ (@SharylAttkisson) October 29, 2020
Then consider this gem from Mark Zuckerberg also via American Greatness:
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg told Congress Wednesday that the FBI warned him months ago that Facebook should be on “heightened alert” about “hack and leak operations” that could be part of a foreign disinformation campaign in the final weeks before the 2020 election.
The Facebook honcho made the remarks during a Senate Commerce Committee hearing where he testified alongside Google’s Sundar Pichai and Twitter’s Jack Dorsey.
“One of the threats that the FBI has alerted our company and the public to was the possibility of a hack and leak operation in the days or weeks leading up to this election,” Zuckerberg said. “So you had both public testimony from the FBI and in private meetings alerts that were given—at least to our company, I assume the others as well–that suggested we be on high alert and sensitivity that if a trove of documents appeared, that we should view that with suspicion that it might be part of a foreign manipulation attempt.”
The FBI has had the computer and hard drive of Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden in its possession for almost a year.
To be clear, Zuckerberg doesn’t explicitly say that the FBI warned Facebook off the Biden documents, but the way the media has been framing this as a “hack” and as “Russian disinformation” gives one reason to believe that they were trying to, for lack of a better word, cockblock anyone trying to get the information from the laptops into circulation by labeling it as hacked and as potentially an effort by a foreign power that did not own the Biden campaign to interfere in the election. If you look at the absurd reason that Twitter gave for blocking the New York Post, “hacked material,” they called it, one wonders if they were warned off, too.
Are these events linked? I don’t know. What I do know is that we are well beyond the point of assuming that the FBI and CIA are not carrying out black bag jobs on politicians and media they oppose or who they find to be in their way. In the words of Ian Fleming, “Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it’s enemy action.” Given the events of the last four years, we are far removed from crediting coincidence for much of anything.
