Across the nation, actual Americans are deciding that they’ve had enough of the public health theater imposed upon us by unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats who were aided by a complicit media in stampeding a lot of gutless and proto-fascists in elective office into essentially shutting down the US economy for the past two months (just a reminder that the US government’s 30-days to slow the spread is at least 45 days old and shows no signs of abating or common sense). I understand the politics of this. When you have all manner of multi-degreed persons giving interview after interview claiming the world will end without quarantining every man, woman, and child in the nation, anyone in elected office knows that if they don’t go along with the insanity that they will be personally blamed for every death that takes place. Never mind that the actual number of deaths, per week, in the US are what they would have been, if not actually lower, had the virus not washed up on our shores.

Given the way that this self-inflicted crisis has destroyed livelihoods and lives (the data for domestic violence, divorce, and suicide are going to be very ugly when the data from this shameful period in our history is finally made public), it is not unnatural that free people are engaging in protests. The main flashpoint has been states like Michigan where a power-drunk governor has assumed blatantly unconstitutional control over the lives of citizens. But the impetus is spreading.

The latest place has been North Carolina.

Why North Carolina is even involved in this is a mystery. The infection rate in North Carolina is 980 per 1 million of population. The death rate is 36 per million (in the most recent year for which there is complete data published, the death rate for pneumonia was 6.2 per 100,000 or 62 per million). Plus, I’m reliably told that North Carolina is using some homebrew model that shows the peak in that state is still a month away.

Naturally, where there is a protest in favor of liberty, no matter it free speech, gun rights, or the right to go to work and be left the hell alone by the Karens of the world, you will find some kind of left-wing, cosplay counterprotest. As shocking as it may seem, people did turn out to protest in favor of keeping people from working:

Health care workers in North Carolina on Tuesday held a counterprotest against yet another “ReOpen NC” rally in the state capital.

About a dozen nurses, doctors and other health care workers, wearing scrubs and masks, stood outside the State Archives of North Carolina in Raleigh with their arms crossed. Some carried signs reading “Stay Home For ME” and “I Can’t Believe I Have to Show Up Here Too.”

They stood in a formation that allowed them to practice social distancing, which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends.

“They’re putting me and my family at risk,” Sekia Royall, who works in nutrition services at O’Berry Hospital in Goldsboro, said in a press release.

“My daughter and I both have pre-existing conditions, and if someone gets the virus at our facility, it will spread like wildfire,” she said. “For some of our patients it could be fatal.”

Carrie Shropshire, a medical student at Campbell University in Raleigh, joined the health care workers protesting Tuesday.

“We take an oath to ‘do no harm,’ and these protesters are literally causing harm,” she said in the press release.

Shropshire also tweeted that some anti-lockdown protesters yelled at her and her fellow health workers Tuesday, asking if they are citizens.

“The people who are trying to reopen our state to infection and death want to know if we are American,” Shropshire tweeted.

Just some data points. 1) Your choice of occupation does not give you a right to restrict my ability to live as I wish and to legally earn a living, 2) the reason that you have time to be a lapdog of fascism is because you don’t have actual patients to tend to (the reason is that a lot of those people are dying at home of diseases that should not kill them because you are engaging in fear-mongering), 3) people who are healthy are not a threat to you unless that threat is for a well-deserved ass-kicking, and 4) turning out just a dozen people to protest is not a sign of strength, particularly when you are following the lead of totalitarians everywhere.

A couple of weeks ago, a freelance photographer, Alyson McClaran, according to her story stumbled across these scrubs in scrubs while at a Denver protest, took their pictures, and became famous.

While walking toward her home from the Capitol, McClaran saw two people in scrubs and N95 masks standing in the middle of the street to block anti-lockdown protesters from going to the Capitol.

“This is it. This is what I needed,” McClaran said, recalling the moment she witnessed the striking scene.

McClaran’s photos of the scene perfectly captured the ongoing tension in the US amid the coronavirus pandemic: Conservative demonstrators, supported by President Donald Trump, are fighting against stay-at-home orders and demanding states be reopened, while health care workers are risking their lives fighting against the deadly pandemic that has taken more than 40,000 lives in the country.

The truth there seems a lot more complicated.

McClaran is participating in the widespread demonization campaign against Americans who are being destroyed by the societal lockdown, which includes an Orwellian censorship campaign on social media and wall-to-wall propaganda on every platform imaginable.

The proponents of shutdown and hysteria have already been caught spreading fake news about the pro-constitution protesters on many occasions, such as when they claimed “Operation Gridlock” protesters in Michigan blocked access to a hospital last week:

The incredible success of the demonstration has prompted murmuring on social media regarding the Sparrow Hospital in Lansing being blocked. Many flooded the popular “Michiganders Against Excessive Quarantine” group and official page for the event on Facebook to spread their conspiracy theories…

The Michigan Conservative Coalition, the primary organization behind the protest, issued a post after receiving word from a nurse who reported back to the group about what was happening at Sparrow Hospital.

“Put something out there that sparrow hospital entrances are NOT being blocked and that emergency vehicles can freely move throughout. Some people on fb are saying that the entrances are being blocked and emergency vehicles can’t get through. I know that’s not the case,” they wrote in a Facebook post.

Bridge Magazine reporter Riley Beggin confirmed that the MCC’s anecdote was in fact legitimate. She noted that the Sparrow entrance was not blocked off and remained freely accessible throughout the protest.

Sparrow spokesperson John Foren also told WLNS 6 News that there are no access problems and ambulances can “get in and out. There’s no problem.”

It seems that McClaran’s photo op is just the latest trick the establishment is using to put down the mounting resistance to coronavirus hysteria.

As I wrote a month ago, this crisis, such as it is, has zero to do with your health and safety and 100% to do with controlling you. We have a right to demonstrate, a right that President Trump has acknowledged. The fact that the best the other people can do is turn out a dozen or so people who aren’t doing what they claim to be doing…and whose identities as actual medical personnel is not verified…tells you all you need to know about these clowns who are trying to run your lives.
