A year ago, a lot of people were woofing that RedState was in a death spiral. Today, I’m happy to report, in the words of Mark Twain, that reports of our demise were greatly exaggerated.

Far from being on the way out, RedState has never, in its history, been stronger. November was the highest traffic month in the 15-year history of the site. It beat the previous record-setting month, October 2019, by 20%. October led the previous record set in March 2016 (Super Tuesday) by 28%. In fact, 4 of the top 10 months in site history have been in 2019. Reader engagement, as measured by comments and Facebook shares is at all-time highs.

That’s only possible because of a dynamite team of writers turning out great content and you, our loyal readers. We think we have the right leadership team and the right talent to really break through during the upcoming election cycle and are excited to have you on the roller coaster with us.

Now the heads-up.

In less than two weeks, RedState will implement a splash screen that requires you to disable your ad blocker while visiting the site.

As you know, we’re trying to wean ourselves away from dependency upon Facebook and the vagaries of internet advertising.
