A few days ago a video surfaced of Minneapolis Congresswoman and terrorist apologist (and maybe incest practitioner) Ilhan Omar speaking as a meeting of the Los Angeles chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (naturally). In her speech she dismissed the 9/11 attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people as “some people did something.” Since that time she has tried to equate her speech to that of George W. Bush at Ground Zero and the half-wit harpies who protect her have claimed that she has done more to fight terrorism than anyone, especially Texas Congressman Dan Crenshaw who lost an eye in combat.
Never one to let an opportunity pass, President Trump responded:

This, to put it mildly, has driven the left utterly batsh** crazy.

While one rather expected the numbskull caucus, primarily Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and another terrorist sympathizer, Rashida Tlaib, to give cover the the inexcusable, a surprising number of sorta normal Democrats have lined up with the crazies to say that they, too, are completely fine with trivializing, if not outright excusing, the 9/11 attacks.

The interesting question is why? Ilhan Omar is a public relations disaster just waiting to happen. Her possible excursion into an incestuous marriage with her brother has never been adequately explained. Like her sister-in-arms in the fight against America, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Omar seems to have engaged in campaign finance shenanigans. She has actually written to a federal judge asking lighter sentences for several Somalis convicted of trying to join ISIS on the grounds that sending terrorists to prison makes them more likely to commit future acts of terrorism and makes others more like to become terrorists (this sounds like a good case for life in prison and mass deportations, if true, but then, I’m not a progressive Democrat).
Beyond this incident, her anti-Semitism is so rank and virulent that even the Democrats were forced to notice. Twice.
In short, this woman is not an asset to her party, just the opposite. In 2020, you will see her and Tlaib becoming the face of a very radical Democrat party that is out of step with everything but its fringe, even by Democrat standards, elements.
Why are they defending Omar? It seems like that the infection of SJW philosophy has now become so ingrained in the Democrats that every indefensible act must be defended so long as the person committing the act are the correct sex (not male), color (not white), and sufficiently exotic to be classified as downtrodden. In this case, they are using Omar’s statements as an attack of free speech and the ability of people who disagree with her to call her out for what she is–a terror apologist.
