BREAKING. President Trump Will Send Anti-Tank Missiles to Ukraine

Yesterday, it was announced that President Trump had authorized the first sale of lethal aid to the government of Ukraine. The sale of some $40 million worth of M107A! sniper systems, the central feature of which is the .50-caliber Barrett sniper rifle, would bolster the defensive capabilities of the Ukrainian army. This evening, ABC is reporting that President Trump has authorized the sale of Javelin anti-tank missiles.

President Donald Trump is expected to announce his approval of a plan to sell anti-tank missiles to the Ukrainian government, a move that would mark a significant escalation in lethal U.S. military support for Ukrainian forces battling Russian-aligned forces in the border region, four state department sources tell ABC News.

If the president formally signs off, the plan will be presented to Congress for a 30 day review period where it would need to be approved before the State Department can implement it.

The sale of anti-tank missiles, which could possibly include the U.S. made Javelin system, would likely provoke a strong reaction from Russia that could threaten to derail President Trump’s calls for better relations with Moscow.

The package, worth about $47 million, is for 210 missiles and 25 launchers.

The Javelin is a quantum improvement over the Russian-made junk the Ukrainians are using now. Its main advantage, in addition to being able to kill main battle tanks, is that it is a fire-and-forget system.

And more missile pr0n:

These two sales will make the Ukrainian army much more effective and much better suited to hold its own. Both systems are defensive so it won’t change the battle lines as they are, but it will definitely help stabilize them.

Of course, this ratchets up the stakes. More and better weaponry means more Russian soldiers going home in body bags and more funerals for Putin to hide.
