It has been rumored to be in the works for a while but now it is official. Fox veteran Heather Nauert is joining the State Department as spokesperson.

She’s the second Fox News person to make the leap to State. Jonathan Wachtel, Fox’s United Nations correspondent, was named spokesman for the U.S. mission to the U.N.

The job will be tough but the shoes left behind by Jen Psaki

and Marie Harf

are so tiny, threadbare and inconsequential that Nauert will look like Einstein by comparison.
