The hallmark of the Obama administration’s foreign policy, if you exclude numbskullery and douchebaggery, has been its inexplicable jihad to boost the profile of the terror state of Iran. Even though Iran remains listed as a state sponsor of terror, even though it funds and controls Lebanese Hezbollah, even though if foments rebellion in Shiite communities throughout the Persian Gulf, even though one of its guiding principles is the eradication of Israel, even though it has kidnapped US citizens and waylaid US warships and sailors, Obama and his coterie of sycophants have insisted upon treating Iran as though it were an actual nation instead of what it is.
Throughout all of this, one of the most tireless boosters of Iran has been Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes. Rhodes is the guy whose ties to Tehran led the FBI to deny him an interim security clearance during the 2008 Obama transition. Ben Rhodes is the guy who shamelessly acted as a sock puppet for Russia’s Dimitry Medvedev in opposing economic sanctions on Iran. When the Iran nuclear sell out needed selling to a credulous press, it was Ben Rhodes who did the deed

When the UN Security Council voted, assisted by America’s abstention, to condemn Israel for building settlements on its own land, Rhodes said, essentially, they brought it on themselves:
In an interview with Channel 2 news, outgoing U.S. President Obama’s deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes rejected Israeli accusations against the administration in connection with the UN Security Council vote against communities in Judea, Samaria, and east Jerusalem.
“We are not endorsing a resolution that seeks to impose a resolution to the conflict,” claimed Rhodes, and added that the resolution “deals with obstacles to peace…When we see laws that seek to legalize outposts, when we see rhetoric that suggests that this is the most pro-settlement Israeli government in history, and when we see the facts on the ground, again, deep into the West Bank, beyond the separation barrier, we feel compelled to speak out against those actions.”
In response to the interviewer’s question whether Israel can expect further U.S. initiatives, the most Rhodes would say was that “Well, I wouldn’t describe it as ‘new initiatives’”. The speech to be delivered by Secretary of State John Kerry will deal with the general American vision for resolution of the conflict, he added.
I don’t know anything about the state of Rhodes’s soul (arguendo, he has one) but his hostility to Israel is palpable and his slavish devotion to Tehran’s directives makes one wonder about the extent to which he’s simply a garden variety self-hating Jew in thrall to the mullahs. As the old saying goes, you lie down with dogs you get up with fleas.
With only three days left in office, US President Barack Obama announced several key administration posts on Wednesday, including the placement of Benjamin Rhodes, one of his top foreign policy advisers, on the United States Holocaust Memorial Council.
The council is comprised of 55 members appointed by the president. Its primary task is to fund-raise for the nation’s Holocaust Museum and its various projects.
What do Ben Rhodes and the Holocaust have in common, apart from the fact he shilled for a Holocaust denying regime? https://t.co/4pl9gQeQrh

When taken in totality with the commutation of sentences of Manning and López Rivera one can only conclude that this is Obama flipping off anyone who is vaguely concerned about national security, in general, and American Jewry, in particular, on his way to his next round of golf.
