Who Let The "JV" Team Put On Lakers Uniforms And Hire Kobe Bryant?

The Obama administration is not only incapable of managing the foreign and defense policy of this nation, it is so far out of touch, its head stuff so far up its pimply, cellulite infuse behind that it really knows less about what is going on in the world than any of William F. Buckley Jr.’s famous “first two thousand names in the Boston telephone directory.”

If you recall, back in January, Barack Obama gave an interview to David Remnick of The New Yorker, the subject of ISIS came up:

Remnick: “You know where this is going, though. Even in the period that you’ve been on vacation in the last couple of weeks, in Iraq, in Syria, of course, in Africa, al-Qaeda is resurgent.”

Obama: “Yes, but, David, I think the analogy we use around here sometimes, and I think is accurate, is if a JV team puts on Lakers uniforms, that doesn’t make them Kobe Bryant. I think there is a distinction between the capacity and reach of a bin Laden and a network that is actively planning major terrorist plots against the homeland versus jihadists who are engaged in various local power struggles and disputes, often sectarian.”

The administration tried to spin their way out of this becoming one of the very few times Politfact and Glenn Kessler ruled that it was possible for any Democrat, much less Barack Hussein Obama, to lie.

One would think that given the expansion of ISIS, its resilience, and the utterly fatuous response Obama has cobbled together he might me more introspective today, but introspection is not in the job description of The LightWorker. This is what he had to say about them yesterday:

President Barack Obama said that Islamic State’s expansion has been halted and that the terrorist group was no longer growing in strength.

In an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, part of which aired Friday, Mr. Obama made the case that the U.S. strategy against the group—also known as ISIL or ISIS—has always been a long-term proposition.

“We’ve always understood that our goal has to be militarily constraining ISIL’s capabilities, cutting off their supply lines, cutting off their financing,” Mr. Obama told ABC.

He said that the advance of the group has largely been halted—though he acknowledged the leadership of group remains at large.

“I don’t think they’re gaining strength. What is true is from the start our goal has been first to contain—and we have contained them. They have not gained ground in Iraq. And in Syria—they’ll come in, they’ll leave—but you don’t see this systematic march by ISIL across the terrain,” he said.

Sure they are contained, if your container is expanded to include Western Europe.

Even within the context of Obama’s stated goals, the United States strategy is a failure. Yesterday proves that for a fact. ISIS was able to move operatives, weapons, and explosives into Paris. They were able to recon their targets. They had obviously conducted a dry run of the operation. They struck at a venue where the French President, himself, was. These are not the actions of the “JV” team.

What seems to have been lost on Obama and his national security staff is that by allowing ISIS to have control of territory, they have actually created an international terrorist organization. Control of territory allows for secure training areas. It gives you the ability to plan operations without fear of security forces kicking in your door. It allows you to stockpile munitions. It enables you more freedom in conducting financial transactions. ISIS today has a status that al-Qaeda never aspired to at its height — it actually rules territory — but still the administration refuses to act.

We already know that ISIS formed in direct response to the precipitate US withdrawal from largely pacified and secured Iraq. We know they were able to metastasize because no one acted to stop them. We know that the Syrian refugee crisis was caused, I’ll say it again, was caused, by the Obama administration, particularly the State Department under Hillary Clinton, expanding a low level insurrection in Syria into a full-blown civil war so they could prove a political point.

It is time for Barack Obama to do something besides act as an internet troll, if that is even possible. No one but Obama ever thought ISIS was a JV team and the events of yesterday proved they are not the JV team. If Obama doesn’t do something besides look bewildered, he’s going to find they are the conference champions.
