Things should be a bit quieter on the Hill today. It's a summer Friday, and there are no hearings or meetings scheduled.

White House What's Up

It will be a quiet day for President Joe Biden as well. He'll receive the Daily Brief late morning, followed by "a briefing on artificial intelligence from White House staff" mid-afternoon. (Is it me? Or does his receiving briefings from WH staff sound weird?) Then he heads off to Camp David. Man, what a difference a week makes, eh?

A seemingly quiet day in the courts, as well, though you never know when an interesting ruling — or filing — might land. We'll be on the lookout.

MORNING MUSING

I'm probably going to jinx it by saying (writing) this out loud, but...it almost feels like we might have hit a news lull. It's a Friday in the summer, and not much is going on from the usual quarters and among the usual suspects. Which probably means all hell is about to break loose, I suppose.
