TOP O' THE MORNIN'

No, Biden's Not Stuttering—but Could His Bizarre Speech Pattern Be Something Known As 'Cluttering?'

I don’t relish in Biden’s speech impediment, his robotic gait, or his apparent confusion, but to tell us we’re not seeing it is the height of gaslighting.

RECEIPTS PROVIDED: Email Exchange Reveals Thuggery of Gavin Newsom's Chief of Staff

While we all know that the thuggery and bullying happens on the regular, it's still stunning to see it in print.

'Unthinkable': Patricia Heaton Says What Needed to Be Said About the Cruelty of Jill Biden

The Bidens and their spinmeisters can gaslight all they want to, but the rather large catalog of videos tells the true story of a man who doesn't appear to be well, and who is unfit to lead this country now - much less for over the next four years.

WHAT'S ON TAP?

Today on Capitol Hill...

It may not officially be summer yet, but we've entered the summer lull on the Hill. The House is out this week and the Senate only has a handful of meetings/hearings set. Here are a few of those set for Tuesday:

  • Senate Appropriations — Hearings to examine unlocking Department of Transportation financing for more transit-oriented housing development
  • Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs — Hearings to examine origins of COVID-19, focusing on available evidence
  • Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs — Hearings to examine Boeing's broken safety culture, focusing on testimony from CEO Dave Calhoun

White House What's Up

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill are set to host a White House event "marking the 12th Anniversary of DACA" in the afternoon. Later in the day, they'll head to a campaign event in McLean, Virginia, then they're off to the beach house in Rehoboth.

Full Court Press...

No Supreme Court decisions are expected today. (As of right now, it looks like they will be releasing opinions on Thursday and Friday.)

Sen. Bob Menendez's (D-NJ) corruption trial is set to resume Tuesday after a brief COVID pause.

We'll also be keeping an eye out for any squirrelly filings in Hunter Biden's and/or former President Donald Trump's cases.

Of Primary Concern

A few more primaries are set for Tuesday: We've got congressional primaries in Oklahoma and Virginia and three runoff elections for House seats in Georgia (CDs 2, 3, and 14). We will, of course, bring you those live results this evening.

MORNING MUSING

I know this news will likely come as a shock to many, but right now, it's hot across much of the U.S. (except for the areas out West, like Montana, where it's not — and, in fact, was snowing Monday). But yes, most of us in the Midwest and the South and the Mid-Atlantic are experiencing the heat as we roll into summer. I know it's also trendy and fun to complain about the heat (and, for some, to sound climate alarm bells), but rarely will you find me doing so: I'll take summer and hot weather over winter and cold anytime. The pool is my happy place and summer is my happy season.
