Turley: Democrats 'Bordered on Delusional' While Questioning Special Counsel Hur

While Republicans continued to stress the two-tiered justice system in the case of Biden's classified documents vs. those of Donald Trump, Democrats continually tried to put words in Hur's mouth that neither he nor his report said.

Devastating Study Blows Up the Entire Transgender Movement

The findings come as the debate over transgenderism and society's willingness to encourage transgender surgery continues to sharply divide politicians, medical professionals, and the country as a whole.

Democrats Are Seething After Robert Hur's Testimony, and the Highlights Are Brutal for Joe Biden

Hur's testimony was a disaster for Democrats. It produced a litany of viral moments, all showing Biden to be both flagrantly disrespectful of the law and in steep mental decline.

WHAT'S ON TAP?

Today on Capitol Hill...

Well, Tuesday may be hard to top, what with all the hubbub over Special Counsel Robert Hur's testimony, but government goes on. On Wednesday, a handful of hearings are scheduled:

  • House Financial Services - Bureaucratic Overreach or Consumer Protection? Examining the CFPB's Latest Action to Restrict Competition in Payments
  • House Armed Services - Too Critical to Fail: Getting Software Right in an Age of Rapid Innovation
  • Senate Veterans' Affairs - A joint hearing with the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs to examine the legislative presentation of The American Legion and multiple veterans service organizations

White House What's Up

More traveling on Wednesday for President Joe Biden. He'll be in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a speech, followed by a campaign event.

Of Primary Concern

Both Biden and former President Donald Trump secured their parties' respective nominations Tuesday evening. There are additional primaries upcoming, but the die is cast.

MORNING MUSING

I want to take a moment to congratulate Special Counsel Robert Hur for enduring five or so hours of testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, including some pretty nasty jabs from the Democrats on the committee. Dude stuck to his guns and never lost his cool. He also knew his report cold (unlike, for instance, Robert Mueller). In the end, he left everyone aggravated — Republicans because he declined to recommend prosecution for Biden over his clear mishandling of classified information; Democrats because his explicit rationale for doing so wasn't that Biden did no wrong, but that he believed it unlikely a jury would convict due to his age and (lack of) mental acuity. In the legal profession, there's an old saw that “the best result in mediation is the one that makes everyone equally unhappy.” This strikes me as similar — but better. Because the Dems seem extra aggrieved.
