Earlier, RedState reported on the despicable comments made by woke Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) about Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R), referring to him as "Gov. Hot Wheels" in a speech given over the weekend at a swanky Human Rights Campaign (HRC) dinner.
"Y'all know we got Gov. Hot Wheels down there. Come on now," she proclaimed before the Los Angeles crowd Saturday. "And the only thing hot about him is that he is a hot *** mess, honey."
Abbott has been paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair since 1984 after being hit by a falling oak tree while out jogging. He was 26 years old at the time of the accident.

Incredibly, Crockett - who also recently called for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) to be "knocked over the head" - has doubled down in the face of intense criticism, telling Politico that her speech "speaks for itself."
Oh, it does that alright - but not in a way that makes her look better.
What was especially galling to me about what she said was the crowd's reaction. While some did appear to be shocked, others cheered Crockett's nasty swipe.
For those who missed the clip and the reactions, watch below (language warning):
Jasmine Crockett: "We out in these hot a** streets with the 'hot wheels governor' who a hot a** mess!"

How did this woman get elected? pic.twitter.com/lToMMr7D0h
Now the Human Rights Campaign fancies itself as championing the little guy, the person who can't get ahead in life because he's allegedly being bullied because he's different. This was how they portrayed themselves when they led the fight to get people and corporations to boycott North Carolina all those years ago over the HB2 "bathroom bill."
And yet the disabled but very capable Republican governor of Jasmine Crockett's home state has his disability and paralysis mocked by the Congresswoman before a crowd of no doubt well-off donors, people we've been reliably informed are "compassionate" leftists, and not only are there cheers - but as of this writing the HRC hasn't seen fit to put out a condemnation of her remarks even though they've known since Saturday exactly what she said.
Meanwhile, they've had plenty of time to post high praise for Democrat "leaders" who are standing up for the Alphabet Mafia, but have not even taken just a few seconds to distance themselves from Crockett.
As always, it's the same ol' thing with these people:
The “Human Rights Campaign” stage and branding behind her really captures the way so many on the Left seem to think about empathy.

Important for everyone, unless they’re a Republican. https://t.co/A3mg5CKqtB
Shameful.

That this happened at a "human rights" event shows that for many in the professional Left your immutable traits (race, gender, physical ability, etc.) are only useful if your politics are acceptable. Otherwise they'll call you a slur for your beliefs.
Total hypocrisy. https://t.co/CNCbplesxc
Yep.
They're telling us who they are again. And we should believe them.
