'Rent-Free': Border Czar Tom Homan Responds Accordingly to Michelle Wu's 'Shame on You' Criticisms

On Wednesday, the much-anticipated House Oversight Committee hearing featuring four sanctuary city mayors took place, with Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson's testimony arguably getting perhaps the most attention of all of them.

The reason for that was primarily due to Johnson's extreme gaslighting, where he proclaimed "Our efforts to improve public safety by building trust with and investing in our communities are working," a statement many in the city would take issue with if the contentious public city council meetings in Chicago in recent months are a reliable indicator.

Also in attendance as witnesses were New York City Mayor Eric Adams, Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, and Boston's Michelle Wu, the latter of who has faced intense criticism recently for offering condolences to the family of a knife-wielding man who an off-duty officer took down after the man allegedly tried to stab two people at a local Chick-fil-A.

For her part, an indignant Wu at one point took aim at Border Czar Tom Homan over his intense criticisms of Boston's sanctuary city policies, which have resulted in horrific crimes being committed against its citizens, including rape and murder:

"Let's talk about Tom Homan. Shame on him for lying about my city, for having the nerve to insult our police commissioner who has overseen the safest Boston's been in anyone's lifetime," Wu responded.

"Bring him here under oath and let's ask him some questions. I am here to make sure that the city of Boston is safe. Others may want to bring hell. We are here to bring peace to cities everywhere."

Wednesday night, Homan, who was not at the hearing, was asked by Fox News host Laura Ingraham about Wu's remarks. Here's what he had to say:

Look, I was on an airplane today, I didn't see that hearing, but thank you for playing that, 'cause now I wanna sleep like a baby. Because if I can get to live in her mind rent-free every day, that's kinda cool.

I love my job. I work for the greatest president in my lifetime. We're making America safe again. President Trump promised the American people we're going to shut down illegal alien crime in this country. That's exactly what we're doing.

Mayor Wu should be standing side by side with me. Who does not want to bring hell to an illegal alien that raped a child? Not one - many of them. I stopped counting at nine.

Watch:

Homan is of course right. It's not him that's the problem; it's woke Democrat mayors like Wu and the violent criminal illegal alien elements she's proudly harboring who are the problem.

As is the case with them on so many other issues, there is a big disconnect with Democrats between their utopian fantasies about diverse melting pots versus the reality of the havoc and destruction wreaked by open borders policies and sanctuary laws, as we're seeing play out across the country including in areas where there are no "safe haven" laws on the books for illegal immigrants.

One question I'd really like to see asked of Wu, Johnson, and all the rest is that if it could save one innocent life, would they cooperate with ICE? That's a tactic Democrats have used on Republicans for decades that should be turned around on them - and while the cameras are rolling at that. Make people see just how far they'll go to prioritize illegal immigrants over their own citizens in hopes that it would get voters in these liberal enclaves to do the right thing for a change and vote them out.
