Though Joe Biden was forcibly pushed out of the presidential race in July in a most undemocratic way, he is still, last I checked, technically the President and has been involved in doing president-like things from time to time.
Among them was the announcement of an executive order on Thursday that he and Vice President Kamala Harris believe will combat gun violence in schools.
According to the fact sheet, the executive order directs "federal agencies to improve school-based active shooter drills and combat the emerging threats of machinegun conversion devices and unserialized, 3D-printed firearms, as well as additional executive actions that advance the Biden-Harris Administration’s agenda to reduce gun violence and save lives."
During the signing presser, which was attended by Harris and other gun control advocates, Biden said "There’s so much more we have to do. I think it’s time to reinstate the assault weapons ban and high-capacity magazines."

Though there's a lot to unpack from the event, I wanted to focus on an attack he attempted on Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), who is the GOP vice presidential nominee.
"I'm gonna be very blunt," Biden stated during the event. "Secretary Vance of Ohio has called these [school] shootings 'facts of life.' Who the hell do these people think they are?" Biden yelled.

Btw, wasn't that whole "facts of life" thing debunked? Asking for a friend. pic.twitter.com/iBO7TIWBV8
Vance, of course, is not the "Secretary of Ohio" (there is no such position) nor a member of Joe Biden's cabinet, and the "facts of life" claim is a whopper, as RealClearPolitics reporter Philip Wegmann pointed out:
Full quote from Vance:
“I don’t like that this is a fact of life. But if you are a psycho and you want to make headlines, you realize that our schools are soft targets. And we have got to bolster security at our schools.”
Vance was not dismissive of shootings as the AP first reported then deleted. Instead, the Ohio senator was lamenting how schools had become "soft targets" for the maladjusted.

Biden repeated the lie today that JD Vance said that school shooting are a "fact of life."

JD Vance did not say school shootings were a fact of life. He said that psychos targeting innocent people is a fact of life.
They lie about his words because they have nothing else. pic.twitter.com/Y9mWnmKWXB
As RedState reported at the time Vance made the remarks about the tragic Georgia high school shooting that left four dead and nine injured, Harris pounced and seized on them, also lying about what Vance said and despicably proclaiming that Trump and Vance would "always choose the NRA and the gun lobby over our children."
In any event, just a periodic reminder that Joe Biden is still a hot mess and that the current Democrat presidential nominee knew this for nearly four years and kept quiet about it. Carry on.
