Shock: Nicolle Wallace's 'Very Bizarre' MSDNC Rant Over RonnaGate Prompts Surprising Reaction From CNN

Townhall Media

As RedState previously reported, former RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel's resignation from the Republican National Committee brought along with it a pretty predictable occurrence just two weeks later: the announcement that she would be joining NBC News as a paid political analyst as the 2024 election season kicks into high gear.

In response, as we've also noted, prominent NBC News and MSNBC media figures alike have been staging an open revolt, using their platforms on their respective networks to bash the decision to bring on McDaniel and to demand NBC News reverse course immediately.

While MSNBC has reportedly said McDaniel will not be providing commentary on any of its (failing) platforms, NBC News - as of this writing - is still holding firm to showcasing her on their platforms. As one might imagine, this has resulted in even more wailing, including from "Morning Joe" co-hosts Joe Scarborough and wife Mika Brzezinski:

“To be clear, we believe NBC News should seek out conservative Republican voices to provide balance in their election coverage. But it should be conservative Republicans, not a person who used her position of power to be an anti-democracy election denier,” Brzezinski said.

“And we hope NBC will reconsider its decision. It goes without saying that she will not be a guest on ‘Morning Joe’ in her capacity as a paid contributor,” Brzezinski added.

Watch:

The network's other former Republican, Nicolle Wallace, also seethed during her "Deadline: White House" broadcast Monday, alleging NBC News was now legitimizing alleged election denialism:

Wallace then said that in hiring McDaniel, “NBC News is, either wittingly or unwittingly, teaching election deniers that what they can do stretches well beyond appearing on our air and interviews to peddle lies about the sanctity and integrity of our elections.”

[...]

She continued her criticism of the network, “What we’ve also said to election deniers is not just that they can do that on our airwaves, but they can do that as one of us, a badge carrying employee of NBC News, as paid contributors to our sacred airwaves.”

Their "sacred airwaves," y'all. "Sacred airwaves."

Watch:

Shockingly, even CNN found all the on-air meltdowns to be quite cringe, with investigative reporter Andrew Kaczynski - who has been no friend to Republicans over the years - calling it a "very bizarre therapy session":

It is indeed, especially when one considers that NBC News and MSNBC, like most other mainstream media news outlets, pushed the Trump/Russia collusion hoax nonsense for four years, which in my view was a form of election interference. They also routinely praised Democrat election deniers like twice failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and twice-failed Georgia Democratic gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams, both of whom they've also had on as guests - with anchors like Rachel Maddow and Wallace sometimes being the ones gushing over interviewing them.

Incredibly, one of the Abrams segments featured her of all people advising Republicans on how to graciously accept election results that aren't in their favor. Seriously.

So, no. Regardless of what one thinks of McDaniel's purported leadership at the RNC and her newfound status as a political analyst in Media World, no lectures from NBC News and MSNBC journos on so-called "election denialism" will be accepted - not now, not ever.
