There's been a lot of talk in the media over the last couple of weeks about President Joe Biden's new "maximum stability" shoes, why he needs them, etc. And along with those reports has come more speculation and questions about his physical and mental fitness to lead the country considering if he won and served another full term he'd be 86 years old at the end of it.
As we've previously reported, though, the new shoes don't seem to be helping much considering Biden has still been prone to instances of near-tripping, as we saw just this week during a trip he took to Nevada.

We've also noted that there also appears to be a loosely coordinated effort between the MSM and members of Biden's administration and campaign staff to set the bar so low that anything he does that looks halfway normal is seen as a victory, as "proof" that our octogenarian president has still got it.
Take, for instance, Biden's pre-recorded appearance on Seth Meyers' TV talk show in late February. Because Biden was able to utter a couple of sentences together coherently and participated in a clearly staged Dark Brandon joke that the left-wing audience clapped like seals over, the interview was hailed as a success by the same people who have a very vested interest in seeing Biden get elected again.

As further evidence of this tactic, we turn to Aaron Rupar, a purported "journalist" whose liberal bias and devotion to the Biden administration is so acute that it would make even CNN's Oliver Darcy blush.
On Thursday, Biden headed to Houston as part of a two-day fundraising excursion in Texas. It was raining upon his arrival, as noted by Daily Mail reporter Emily Goodin in a video she shared to the Twitter machine:

Because Biden was able to make it down the wet steps without tripping, and because he was able to open an umbrella without help, it meant he was far more fit to lead the country than Donald Trump, according to Rupar:
no problem with the wet stairs -- doesn't even appear to use the railing. easily opens the umbrella on his own -- something Trump could never do. 10/10 https://t.co/ra4OWt4YUr

Rupar, I should note for the record, is the same so-called journalist who took issue with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis "manspreading" during a 2021 Fox News appearance, and who also nearly got a sheriff's officer fired after posting a deceptively edited clip, something he does often, that took the officer out of context - and which of course went viral.
Though predictable, Rupar's declaration about Biden reminded me of that incredible moment during a 2020 Biden town hall when CNN "fact checker" Daniel Dale claimed that because Biden was able to string a sentence together he was "implicitly fact-checking Trump by...uttering many consecutive coherent sentences."
Yes, he really tweeted that:
Biden is implicitly fact checking Trump by...uttering many consecutive coherent sentences, which Trump has repeatedly said Biden cannot do. https://t.co/LzS2Bx7ioq

Look for a lot more of this in the weeks and months to come as the media does their level best to drag Joe Biden over the finish line one more time. It's going to be hard to do, though, because like I've said before, at the end of the day, Joe Biden's worst enemy is... Joe Biden.
