Though both President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are said to be big fans of Philadelphia sports teams, it is usually only the Mrs. we see front and center attending home games.
She went to at least two Philadelphia Eagles games this season, including when the Eagles played (and defeated) Dallas in October, where we saw her get mercilessly booed by Eagles fans in the midst of her her stint as “honorary captain” for the coin toss:

She also cheered on the Philadelphia Phillies in their march to the World Series, and even attended game four. Unfortunately for her and for them, they lost that game to the Houston Astros 5-0, and the series in six games.
So naturally, Mrs. Biden was going to weigh in with her support for the Eagles on Super Bowl Sunday, tweeting this video of her wearing an Eagles jersey with the name “Biden” and the number “46”:

Sadly for Eagles fans like Mrs. Biden, their team lost in a down-to-the-wire game Sunday that had what some have described as questionable officiating, though there were some memorable patriotic moments prior to the start of it.
The Eagles going down in defeat had some only half-jokingly blaming Jill Biden for what happened, calling it what’s become known as the “Jill Biden curse”:

But since the First Lady is adamant that she be called “doctor” even though she’s not a doctor of medicine (her doctorate is in education), another Twitter user bestowed upon her another new and perhaps more fitting nickname:
I saw a few others as well, but they weren’t fit to publish here.
Jill Biden being considered a “curse” or a “jinx” to Philly sports teams is reminiscent of all the “curse” flak former President Barack Obama took whenever he either expressed his support for a sports team or attended a game, as the Free Beacon’s Andrew Stiles explained in a 2019 post:
[Washington Wizards owner Ted] Leonsis is apparently unaware, or has chosen to disregard, the ample evidence for what many sports analysts have described as the “Obama Curse.” American athletes, and basketball players in particular, have been known to suffer injury and humiliation in Obama’s presence, raising difficult questions about the former president’s motivations and moral compass.
Obama looked on, for example, as Duke star forward Zion Williamson suffered a freak ankle injury after his shoe exploded in the opening minutes of a rivalry game against UNC. Duke went on to lose the game in front of their home crowd in humiliating fashion.
Though the Eagles loss in the Super Bowl wasn’t “humiliating,” it was in effect crushing for their fans, as has the state of the economy under Joe Biden and Handler-in-Chief Jill Biden for millions of Americans.
