Back in March 2020 and at the time Democratic presidential candidates Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders were virtually the last two standing after a bruising primary battle that saw other candidates like then-Sen. Kamala Harris and failed Senate nominee Beto O’Rourke bail well before the first primary vote was cast, “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg made an unintentionally hilarious declaration about Joe Biden’s wife Jill Biden in a clip that went viral.
The date was Wednesday, March 4th, the day after the “Super Tuesday” primaries that all but assured Joe Biden would eventually become the nominee for the Democratic party. Goldberg and her fellow co-hosts were discussing possible vice presidential running mate options for Biden when she giddily suggested that “Dr.” Jill Biden should become the Surgeon General because she’s “an amazing doctor“:
“I’m hoping Dr. Jill becomes the surgeon general, his wife.”
“Joe Biden’s wife. She would never do it but, yeah, she’s a hell of a doctor. She’s an amazing doctor,” she went on, earning some scattered applause from the audience.
The moment drew brief pauses from some of the co-hosts until Sunny Hostin responded, “She’s a teacher but might be good for [Education Secretary] Betsy DeVos’s post.”
“Yes, perfect,” Joy Behar cut in soon after.
As noted above, however, Jill Biden’s doctorate is in education, not medicine, which is what made the clip especially hilarious considering how sure Goldberg seemed to be regarding what an “amazing doctor” Jill Biden supposedly was.
That infamous video resurfaced on the Twitter machine Tuesday and has again gone viral judging by the popular social media platform’s trending list:

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) saw it and swished a sweet dunk on Goldberg by pulling Joe Biden’s son Hunter into the mix as well, suggesting Goldberg might one day endorse Hunter Biden for attorney general considering “he actually has experience with crime”:
Just wait until Whoopi endorses Hunter Biden for attorney general.

As we’ve previously reported, “View” co-hosts are notorious for stepping in to try and rescue one another when one of their colleagues goes off the rails, as we saw Monday when they made some wild claims about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and then had to walk them back almost immediately afterward.
We also saw this last Tuesday after co-host Sunny Hostin indicated that she actually thought it was a bigger deal that the “good guy with a gun” who stopped the Greenwood, Indiana mall mass shooter “broke the law” because he went into the mall armed even though the mall prohibited such weapons on their property.
“The law of Indiana is different than the law of the mall, of Simon Malls,” conservative guest go-host Lindsey Granger correctly pointed out before schooling her on how she [Granger] “would say that takes precedence when you save a life.”
“Well, well, he saved a life, but what if he…,” Hostin began, unfortunately echoing a talking point expressed by some in the mainstream media, before getting rescued by Goldberg, who said they had to go to a commercial break.
To repeat a point my colleagues and I have made here before, as a general rule “The View” is absolutely not the place any self-respecting person will go if they’re looking for informed and enlightened commentary on what’s going on in America. It is, however, the place to go if one wants to get an eye-opening look at the TV manifestation of the fever swamps of the Democratic party.
Just sayin’.
