Report: Leftists Stampede the Exits as Elon Musk Announces He Would Lift Trump's Twitter Ban

April was a terrible month for Democrats, who were hit with one wave of bad news after another, with the biggest hit of all at the time being Twitter’s announcement late in the month that they had “entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by an entity wholly owned by Elon Musk, for $54.20 per share in cash in a transaction valued at approximately $44 billion.”

Unfortunately for Dems, May hasn’t been any better and we’re only a little over a week into the month. First was the news from last Monday about the draft majority opinion leak from the Supreme Court where Justice Samuel Alito declared that “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled.”

As the Musk news did, the breaking story about what Alito wrote sent the left into fits of apoplectic outrage, with the latter revelation motivating them to riot and others to doxx some of the conservative Supreme Court Justices, post their partial address information online complete with maps, and stalk them and their families in front of their homes.

And in a new development that is already causing leftists to meltdown on the Twitter machine, Musk told attendees of a virtual conference earlier Tuesday that he felt the ban put on former President Donald Trump’s account by the popular social media platform was wrong. He also stated that he would lift it should he become the new owner:

“Permanent bans should be extremely rare and really reserved for accounts that are bots, or scam, spam accounts… I do think it was not correct to ban Donald Trump,” Musk said at FT Live’s Future of the Car conference. “I think that was a mistake, because it alienated a large part of the country and did not ultimately result in Donald Trump not having a voice.”

“I would reverse the permanent ban,” added Musk, who is expected to become interim CEO following the takeover. “I don’t own Twitter yet. So this is not like a thing that will definitely happen, because what if I don’t own Twitter?”

Watch:

Readers will recall that a few weeks ago, Trump was asked if he’d return to Twitter if Musk reinstated his account. While he praised some of what Musk was doing, Trump said he’d be staying on TRUTH Social instead:

“I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on TRUTH,” Trump told Fox News. “I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on TRUTH.”

TRUTH Social was founded by Trump. It’s still in beta-testing at this point and appears to only be available in Apple app form, but some have speculated that the sale of Twitter to Musk being approved would mean more conservatives would either stick with Twitter or return to it (the latter of which is already happening), feeling freer to post what’s on their minds without the fear of being muzzled for no apparent reason other than political disagreement.

In any event, as noted above Musk’s announcement during the Financial Times Conference is already causing heartbreak galore on the left, with even more of them headed for the exits. That’s a great development, of course, not because one ideology should dominate Twitter, but because the place will be a lot better once the riff-raff takes a hike.

After all, if they don’t like it they can start their own platforms, right? At least that’s what they told conservatives…
