Trump Wastes No Time Hitting Biden With Savage Ad Right Where It Hurts After Afghanistan Speech

The remarks Joe Biden gave earlier today on the Afghanistan fiasco may go down as one of the most embarrassing, humiliating speeches given by a President in modern United States history if not the entire history of this country.

For starters, as per the norm, he did not look well as he read from the teleprompter, looking tired and winded after appearing five hours late for the so-called “press conference.” Secondly, and as my colleague Bonchie noted in his write-up, our collective intelligence was insulted as Biden not only lied about a call he had earlier today with G7 leaders, saying there was “strong agreement” with the Biden administration’s plan for evacuation (there wasn’t), but also blamed former President Donald Trump for the current situation in Afghanistan and also pretended the Biden team has everything under control — so move along, nothing to see here, okay?

But as we all know at this point, everything is most definitely not okay, a point Trump himself made in a devastating new ad that in all likelihood was perfectly timed to be released after Biden concluded his statement and walked away from the podium without taking questions (again).

The promo on his website wastes no time in getting straight to the point of what the ad, which is titled “Surrenderer-in-Chief” is about.

“Joe Biden promised Americans a future of growth, strength, diplomacy, and power,” it reads. “He told us ‘America was back.’ Instead, he withdrew troops from Afghanistan before removing our weapons, our allies, or even our own citizens.”

“Joe Biden has backed down to our enemies and failed to protect our allies. Under Joe Biden, the Taliban is back – not America.”

The assessment is brutally on point enough, but the ad packs a helluva powerful punch, hitting not just Biden on his feckless leadership during this crisis but Vice President Kamala Harris, too – a smart move considering the rumors that continue to swirl about how Biden may choose to be a one-term President. The ad also at one point takes a jab at Biden for seeming to forget a top cabinet member’s name.

There’s an old saying about how “the lights are on, but nobody’s home.” Unfortunately, our country is in a situation right now where it appears that not only is nobody home in this administration, but the lights aren’t even on, either.

Biden, White House press secretary Jen Psaki, and other members of the Biden administration can say they’re handling the issue of stranded Americans and the Taliban’s violent takeover appropriately, but all the gaslighting in the world will provide zero comfort to the Americans who are still stuck there, and the Afghans who will remain under oppressive Taliban rule long after the last American who wants to return home is finally able to get out.
