Kayleigh McEnany Zings Nancy Pelosi With Timely Flashback After She Violates Her Own Mask Mandate

As we reported earlier this week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has decided to reimplement mask mandates for the House – including among those who are fully vaccinated. Even worse, Pelosi has given the green light for the Capitol Police to fine and/or arrest anyone who refuses to comply, understandably outraging Republicans who are fed up with the game playing and hypocrisy that is on full display by Democrats on this issue.

But in a move that should surprise absolutely no one, Pelosi was caught violating her own mandate in a widely circulated video of her taking her mask off to pose for a photo. For many, it brought to mind other instances where Pelosi has not practiced what she’s preached about masks, including the infamous video of her maskless and getting a haircut and highlights at a shuttered San Francisco hair salon last August.

It was that incident that had former Trump White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany taking to the Twitter machine to post a flashback to the September 2020 press briefing where she played the video of a maskless Pelosi at the salon on loop for the Democrat apologists reporters who were assembled in the briefing room. Here’s a partial transcript of her remarks:

“Nancy Pelosi was not in the halls of Congress when I asked where she was,” McEnany said. “She was not working in good faith to make a deal for the American people.”

“Nancy Pelosi was found in San Francisco at a hair salon where she was indoors even though salons in California are … only open for outdoor service,” she continued. “Apparently, the rules do not apply to Nancy Pelosi.”

[…]

“Nancy Pelosi, you ought to apologize to the American people, or better yet come back to Washington and get to work for hard working Americans like this salon owner that you maligned and demanded an apology from,” she said.

Watch:

Pelosi’s immediate violation of her own orders about wearing masks also brings to mind how President Biden did the same thing on his very first day in office.

You’ll recall that post-inauguration, Biden signed a number of executive orders, among them a mask mandate for federal buildings. Hours after he signed it, Biden and some of his family members were seen not wearing masks while standing in close proximity to each other while on federal property.

When White House press secretary Jen Psaki was asked by Fox News reporter Peter Doocy the next day about Biden’s actions, Psaki gave up the game, stating that “yesterday was a historic moment in our history. He was inaugurated as President of the United States. He was surrounded by his family. We take a number of precautions, but I think we have bigger issues to worry about at this moment in time.”

In other words, as long as it was a Democrat celebrating a special day, it was ok. Besides: “I think we have bigger issues to worry about at this moment in time.”

In a matter of 24 hours, both Biden and Psaki undercut the left’s entire argument about the importance of wearing masks by suggesting that it’s okay to do it on special occasions. Unfortunately for the American people, the contradictory messaging coming from Democrats continue to this very day.
