Peter Doocy Confronts Jen Psaki on Biden's Georgia Voting Law Lies, Her Answers Just Weren't Acceptable

President Biden, White House press secretary Jen Psaki, and other Biden officials are repeating falsehoods about Georgia’s new voting law, and it’s gotten so bad that even fact-checkers for reliably left-wing news outlets like the Washington Post have written pieces debunking some of them.

Unfortunately, the lies being spread by opportunistic Democrats like Biden and failed 2018 Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams cost the state the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, which happened two days after Biden told ESPN he’d “strongly support” them making such a move.

During today’s White House press briefing, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy confronted Psaki about Biden’s comments encouraging MLB to move the game as well as his false statements about how the Georgia law “ended voting hours early,” which WaPo’s Glenn Kessler noted last week was false. Predictably, Psaki’s answers were one big dodge and weave after another, but what was especially troubling is that there was no acknowledgment on her part that Biden lied in his comments. Also troubling was that Psaki boiled down Biden’s remarks about MLB pulling the All-Star game to him just merely answering a question he was asked.

Watch both clips below, with the first one being on the MLB question and the second one being about his false statements about Georgia’s voting hours “ending early”:

Her answers, in my opinion, were not acceptable. Basically what she told Doocy in so many words was that the President was going to continue to lie about the law even though, as Doocy pointed out, a central part of Biden’s message from day one has been on how a President’s words matter. If they do, why doesn’t he — through her or himself — acknowledge he may have influenced the MLB to pull the game and the jobs and revenue that would have come along with it with his dishonest claims about the law?

What former NJ Gov. Chris Christie said this weekend on ABC News’s “This Week” comes to mind here. In a nutshell, he told the panel of guests on the show that Biden promised unity and healing and truth upon being sworn in but has not practiced anything of the sort.

Christie started out by pointing to Biden’s inauguration speech where he specifically talked against using the “total war” strategy in an effort to defeat the opposition.

“Politics need not be a raging fire that destroys everything in its path,” Biden said at the time. “Every disagreement doesn’t have to be a cause for total war, and we must reject a culture in which facts themselves are manipulated or made up.”

Then, after fact-checking multiple false claims about the law, Christie dropped an inconvenient truth.

“[Biden] is doing exactly what he sat around in the campaign and the transition and accused Donald Trump of doing,” Christie noted. “He is lying to cause racial divisions in this country. That’s what he accused Donald Trump of doing and he’s a liar and a hypocrite this morning.”

Psaki won’t tell you that, nor will Biden, obviously, but it’s the sad reality of the situation. This is all about power and trying to keep Georgia blue for years to come by using any means necessary, including making the state’s voters suffer economically because Democrats would rather engage in tiresome woke virtue-signaling based on lies than be honest for once.
