Sometimes — oftentimes, really — the best “owns” in politics do not come from seasoned commentators, nor veteran journalists, nor experienced politicians, nor savvy candidates and their respective campaign staffs.
They come from We the People. Plain and simple.
A perfect illustration of this in action can be seen in the video below. I don’t know when and where it was taken, but it was shared to Twitter this week by Johnny Nalbandian, who is the Republican nominee in California’s 27th Congressional district. It’s currently being represented by Democrat Judy Chu, who has held the seat since 2009.
The video shows a group of Trump supporters and an agitated man who is clearly a Biden supporter. The man tells the Trump supporters that they are being “brainwashed” by the “white idiot.”
Then one of the Trump supporters tells the man about Biden’s “if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black” quote from back in May when he did an interview with New York radio show host Charlamagne Tha God that got the Democratic presidential nominee in trouble for about 10 whole minutes before the media quickly moved on.
The man doesn’t believe Biden said that and says so. The Trump supporters are understandably adamant that he did, and they crosstalk, with the Biden supporter, who says if they can prove Biden said those words that he’ll tear up the sign he’s carrying (presumably it’s a Biden sign).
What happens next is absolutely priceless. Someone you can’t see in the video pulls up the clip and has the Biden supporter listen to it. The look on his face when he hears it tells you everything.

The man seems stunned for a few seconds as you hear people around him remind him to tear up his sign. Then in the next clip he’s seen walking off, appearing to be disgusted. It’s unclear whether or not he went through with his promise to tear up the sign. LOL.
It’s too bad this doesn’t happen more often at these types of rallies. Too often, instead of passionate but respectful discussions, “RESIST!” leftists will confront conservatives at these events and mock them, harass them, threaten them, and sometimes assault them. There’s no attempt at understanding the other side’s perspective. It’s just “you’re a racist MAGA idiot!” and then the egg-throwing begins.
Fortunately, things turned out okay in this instance on a couple of fronts. Not only was there no harassment or assault, but a Democrat got schooled on the facts and appeared to take it like a man. Nice work, guys.
