It was just another day at the office today for White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who sparred with press corps reporters on a wide variety of topics – except for one big one that you’d think they’d have had a lot of questions about but didn’t.
The Trump-brokered Middle East peace deal signed yesterday is considered historic by most accounts, but many in the mainstream media have down their level best to downplay the significance of it in their “reporting” because Orange Man Bad and stuff. That mindset was reflected today during the White House press briefing, where not a single question was asked about it.
And during her closing remarks, she went off, correctly noting had this deal been done during the Obama-Biden administration, journalists would have been treating it much differently. McEnany also got in a sweet dig at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for bizarrely calling the deal a “distraction“, saying “maybe it’s a distraction from her visits to the hair salon.”
.@kayleighmcenany's points out the biased media response to Middle East peace deals:
"I did not receive a single question about [peace deals]. That was the first time it's happened in a quarter of a century. If Obama and Biden had achieved this, it would look a lot different." pic.twitter.com/K1pbwVWfvj

.@PressSec @KayleighMcEnany's closing comments at today's White House Press Briefing are 🔥🔥🔥🔥, calling out the press corps for not a single question about yesterday's signing of the #AbrahamAccords and how, when they do cover it, it's been downplayed. pic.twitter.com/s9BUSnB1D6

As has often been the case during and after contentious White House press briefings, one “reporter” actually yelled at McEnany as she left the podium:
Reporter shouts at @PressSec as she walks out of briefing room: "Kayleigh if he's a law and order president why does he keep breaking the law?"
Important to note, not a single question was asked about yesterday's historic peace deal at the White House.

The supposed “journalist” was Playboy White House correspondent and CNN political analyst Brian Karem, a notoriously unprofessional media figure who has clashed with the White House in the past. He bragged about yelling at McEnany on his Twitter feed:

Sigh. Just another day at the Capitol Hill Media Romper Room.
