If it’s a day that ends in “y”, you can best believe that the left is cooking up yet another lame excuse to boycott businesses for having the audacity to engage in WrongThink.
The latest example of this comes courtesy of a familiar foe of the left’s: Hobby Lobby. The Christian-based home decor/crafting store has been on their radar since the company sued the Obama administration in 2014 over Obamacare’s birth control mandate – and won.
Since that time, Hobby Lobby – like Chick-fil-A – has been under relentless attack from Democrats, with campaigns to boycott them launched periodically, including one from 2017 that was started over a photo of a display that included cotton elements, which apparently triggered some leftists with nothing better to do.
On Sunday, Twitter user Kari Brekke posted a random photo of a display in a Hobby Lobby where the letters were arranged to read “USA – Vote Trump”:

Brekke’s Twitter bio states that she’s a “#Resist” Democrat from Wisconsin, but no location for the photo was given.
As of this writing, the tweet has gone viral with 13,000 RTs, 33,000 likes, and over 6,000 comments. Newsweek even wrote an article about the photo, which Brekke proudly retweeted. She also has the photo pinned to the top of her Twitter page.
The image launched a wave of calls for people to once again boycott Hobby Hobby, so much so that “#BoycottHobbyLobby” and “Hobby Lobby” trended after the photo was tweeted:

It didn’t matter that no one knew whether the display was done by a store employee (probably not) or a customer (probably) or maybe Brekke herself (for attention). The boycott calls commenced accordingly because everything is stupid:
#BoycottHobbyLobby, not just for this, for their views on women’s rights also.#VoteBidenHarris2020 https://t.co/IANsDmxNbM

Some of you just learned about Hobby Lobby.
I've boycotted the store since 2007.#BoycottHobbyLobby https://t.co/8F6dUHNIbv— Space Force Cadet (@SpaceForceCad) September 7, 2020
I'm OK with cancelling Hobby Lobby. I didn't just decide this today. https://t.co/Nu3WR3avm2

I’ve been #BoycottHobbyLobby for years since I heard they supported tRump & were owned by evangelicals. Evangelicals aren’t religious they are just a cult.

I’ve never stepped foot in a Hobby Lobby and never will. https://t.co/dNznLQXDME

One leftist accidentally said the quiet part out loud about the previous campaigns to boycott the popular store:
I see #BoycottHobbyLobby is trending. Do we not try to boycott them like every six months? Can we actually follow through and make it work this time? Aside from the obvious, just being in a Hobby Lobby stresses me out.

Newsflash: This effort won’t work, either. Leftist boycotts rarely if ever go well:
Hobby Lobby would welcome a leftist boycott, especially after their last boycott of Goya that led to record sales of beans.
