If you were thinking you’d seen it all from the so-called “peaceful protesters” who’ve been wreaking havoc and terrorizing innocent drivers on city streets over the last two months, think again.
A Twitter user by the name of “seuntheactivist” gleefully posted a video to his Twitter account Sunday of what he said was an “old white couple” who he claims “refused” to leave when agitators on the Key Bridge allegedly told them to. Because they didn’t, the “protesters” decided they’d keep the couple “company”:
Blocked the bridge and an old white couple refused to turn around like everybody else so we’ll keep them company 🙂 pic.twitter.com/LvWRFvxXTh

In another tweet, “Seun” was “lmfaooooo” at a “Kevin” who was trying to do the right thing in getting the protesters to allow the couple to pass:

“Seun” stated that detaining them for well over an hour was no big deal in the scheme of things, describing it as a “minor inconvenience to them in comparison to the major inconvenience that Black folks face daily”, a talking point that was also used by another protester the previous day at a similar protest nearby where people who tried to drive through were ambushed:
I just want it to be known that every car turned around except for them. They literally stayed for over an hour and refused to turn around until instructed to by an officer. Minor inconvenience to them in comparison to the major inconvenience that Black folks face daily.

I don’t know what’s more pathetic about this situation: The fact that they’re essentially holding senior citizens hostage, the fact that they think their “mission” justifies it, or that it appears police stood by and allowed it to happen. Regardless, these “protesters” should have been arrested immediately and the couple allowed to go through. There is just no call for this. None.
It’s time to end the practice of allowing demonstrators to take over city bridges once and for all.
