In a stunning twist of events, Judicial Watch, a conservative organization that focuses on transparency and freedom of information, filed a lawsuit against the United States Secret Service regarding allegations that then-Vice-President Joe Biden had cupped the breast of an agent during a photo in 2009.
The allegations had been reported by Gateway Pundit earlier this year and Judicial Watch, mostly out of what appears to be curiosity, filed a Freedom of Information Act Request to obtain any records of the incident.
Judicial Watch founder Tom Fitton described his surprise at the response from the Secret Service.
“We had not been able to confirm whether the report about the alleged altercation might be true until the Secret Service itself suggested it destroyed records about the incident,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.”
It appears that Judicial Watch was prepared for a response that denied an incident report ever existed in relation to any alleged event. That was not the response they received. The response state they had destroyed the records in relation to the alleged incident in accordance with “retention standards.” In other words, it appears the US Secret Service did have a record of the event however they have destroyed that record.
It is assumed that Judicial Watch’s action is attempting to get access to other records (reassignments of agents involved, etc.) in order to prove an incident occurred and even perhaps gain access to the actual agents involved for interviews.
While delays in courts because of the Wuhan Virus may delay any action on this before the election, It will be interesting to see where this goes and if evidence can be presented that would confirm this event. Either way, it likely won’t ever be reported by the MSM as they would never want to hurt their anointed candidate.
