Arctic Frost Just Got a Lot Worse, As Biden DOJ’s Most Expansive Hunt for GOP Phone Records Revealed

The Justice Department under former President Joe Biden subpoenaed Verizon for the personal phone records of Republican Rep. Jim Jordan (OH-4) over a more than two-year period as part of the "Arctic Frost" probe.

The subpoena, obtained by Fox News Digital, was issued by a prosecutor who later joined special counsel Jack Smith's January 6 investigation.

It demands the wireless company hand over toll records (call and message metadata, such as who he was communicating with and when, but not the actual contents) from over a year before the mostly peaceful protest at the Capitol in 2021, right up until the subpoena was issued, in late April of 2022.

Operation Arctic Frost eventually led to election-related charges against President Trump.

The subpoena advises Verizon that they are "commanded" to appear in court weeks later to produce the materials outlined in the attached documents, including text and image data, as well as "encryption/authentication" data.

It also seeks records for three other phone numbers, which were redacted, along with a one-year gag order, according to Fox.

We already knew Arctic Frost was a significant-scale fishing expedition, but the scale just got a whole lot wider with news that Jordan's cell phone records were accessed for such a long period.

Fox News reporter Ashley Oliver describes it as "the most expansive yet of the publicly known subpoenas targeting senators and current and former House members" during the nefarious operation.

It almost seems safe to assume that there was nobody who was off limits when it came to Biden weaponizing his Justice Department to obtain personal information about his political opponents under the guise of saving democracy.

Jordan, the House Judiciary Committee Chairman, was at the time the ranking Republican on the House Judiciary Committee (which oversees the DOJ). He was a significant figure for the Biden administration to be targeting.

The Ohio Republican explained just how vast the subpoena and thus the investigation into him was in an interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity.

“All the way back to January of 2020, they gathered information that told them who I call, who called me, when we called each other, when the call took place, how long the call was and where I was at when I made that call – they got location as well –  and they gathered that over a time period of 28 months,” he seethed.

Jordan described the sprawling investigation as the "epitome of the weaponization of government against the other party."

As RedState readers are well aware, Jordan isn't the only one to be targeted by Biden's DOJ. They also sought private phone records from United States senators, including Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), as well as the former Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy.

We've even learned that, according to Attorney General Pam Bondi, the Special Counsel "seized President Trump’s government-issued phone."

In sane times, this would be covered on a 24/7 news cycle. It's the actual weaponization of government. Instead, the American media have ignored Biden's power trip and focused on their own pro-Democrat-generated narrative that it's Trump engaging in these actions.

Seizing phones and accessing personal records of political opponents sounds like something actual fascists would do. And the media, the enemy of the people, simply ignore it.
