John Kennedy is a gem. Nay, he is a trove of precious jewels. A national treasure, if you will. If this whole political career thing doesn't work out, he'll always have a pathway to stand-up comedian to fall back on.
Speaking of precious jewels, the Republican senator from Louisiana had some thoughts on Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's (D-NY). Kennedy has defined the power struggle taking place in the Democratic party today in a manner we've grown accustomed to—both brilliant and hilarious—during an appearance on "Will Cain Country."
Cain questioned Kennedy on the brewing civil war on the left between the handful of Democrats who broke ranks and voted to reopen the government and the furious resistance extremists who wanted it shut down in perpetuum.
"There's something about this government reopening that has completely divided the left," Cain observed.
"Senator Schumer gambled, and he lost, and he's kind of walking around now looking like a guy who just lost his luggage," Kennedy responded. "He did this to try to make the Bolshevik wing, which is in control of his party like him, love him, and now they're madder than ever at him."
That Bolshevik wing, or "socialist wing" as he later states, is the one controlled by Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14). Kennedy explains that AOC is likely unaware of how much she and her party hurt the American people with the shutdown. But then, one could write volumes about the things the former bartender is unaware of.
The Senator predicts that AOC has some big, big plans in the future. Whether it's in taking down fellow Democrat Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (NY-8) to grab the House speakership if their party wins big in the midterms. Or running for Schumer's seat. Or, God forbid for the health of this nation, running for President.
Kennedy points out that ol' Chuck is terrified of New York's socialist darling getting her clutches on his Senate seat.
"There are a lot of Democrats, one of whom I think is Senator Schumer, who understand that, uh, the loon wing of his party are a bunch of loons. But, I think he's scared of them," Kennedy posited. "I think his testicles are on back order from China."
Murder. First degree.

Watch Out, Dems: AOC Is Coming for More Than Just Schumer After Shutdown Deal
You see, of course, what we're saying here about Kennedy being a comedic genius? Cain was doubled over in laughter after hearing that remark.
The Senator proceeded to explain how AOC is smelling blood in the water. Realizing that her brand of extremism is not limited to success in just the liberal cesspool of the Bronx and Queens, but is now branching out, as evidenced by the recent election of Zohran Mamdani as mayor of New York City.
Still, he describes her as a creation of the media. And not a very deep, intellectual creation at that.
"They love her like the devil loves sin, man. I mean, they just uh—and I get why," Kennedy observed. "She's attractive. She's pretty articulate on television. She's bold in her statements. But I've never heard anybody describe her as a policy maven."
"My experience with her is if you scratch the surface, you just get more surface."
I'm guessing you just get more void. Empty, vapid. AOC is about as deep as a kiddie pool.
The point remains, however. This power struggle isn't going to end well for the Democrat party and, by extension, the country.
Schumer, one of the old guard, is primed to be replaced as his party grows weary of his inability to navigate the Trump era. Another old dog in Nancy Pelosi is heading off into the sunset. And people like Jeffries stand no chance in trying to tamp down the lunatics infecting the party.
As RedState's Nick Arama reported, Ocasio-Cortez has made comments that seem to suggest "that both Schumer and other Democrats had better be prepared to face primaries from the left."
She's coming for them whether they're prepared or not.

Senator Kennedy is still holding out hope that the socialist extremists are still just the fringe of the Democrat party, though on that note, he may be being just a bit naive, something he admits is a possibility.
"I don't think the loon wing of the party is the majority of the Democratic party," he said. "Maybe I'm naive, but it's clear that the loon wing of the party is the loudest. It's clear that she leads them. It's clear that they are in the ascendancy."
"And it's clear that until the more rational Democrats stand up to her and them, the chaos will continue."
The chaos will indeed continue. AOC is the norm for her party. The so-called "rational Democrats" have been reduced to a handful of people and are rapidly going extinct. And it doesn't appear that Schumer's testicles, or those of anybody else in his party, are set to be delivered any time soon.
