Elie Mystal, a far-left columnist for The Nation, is so petrified of the Trump administration snatching him off the street because of his articles that he has allegedly hired security to keep him safe.
This, according to Mystal himself.
The author of the new book "Bad Law: Ten Popular Laws That Are Ruining America" appeared with Charlamagne the God on "The Breakfast Club" late last week and promptly demonstrated little to no grasp of current law.
Mystal is not an illegal immigrant (he was born in Queens, and his father was a prominent political figure in Suffolk County, New York—a legal Haitian migrant), nor does he have a student visa. Thus, he would have no concerns regarding current deportation efforts.
But even beyond the fact that the current administration is simply enforcing immigration laws, Mystal hints that President Trump, who he compares to Hitler, naturally, would also come after trans people and blacks.
Mystal, a frequent contributor on MSNBC, refers to "a sect" of the country (presumably Trump voters) who go after people they "think are deserving of cruelty and shame and a lack of dignity."
"You know, whether it's trans people, or new immigrants, or whatever. People who think deserve - black people - deserve to get the boot up the a**. That's who it happens to."
From there, Mystal's descent into madness continues, as he says America is now under fascism, and he, apparently, is one of those people who might get the boot.
Elie Mystal says he has to hire security at his events now because he's worried about being, "snatched up off the street."

Elie Mystal Blathers About Democracy - but He's a Constitutional Ignoramus
Mystal's exaggerated self-worth seems to find him lurking in a world where President Trump actually knows who he is. You're on MSNBC, fella. Nobody is watching.
“Look, guys, we live in a country where you can get snatched up off the street for writing an article in the newspaper," he said without evidence. "And as a person who writes articles in newspapers, this is something that has really worried me and really changed and affected how I think about my job and my life."
So terrified is he of this completely fabricated scenario that he has hired security.
“When I’m doing book events now, I have security, right, which is not something I did for my first book, right?" Mystal revealed.
My first thought was to provide reactions on social media to Mystal's completely bat-guano crazy claims, of which there are many, but X being X, most of those devolved into some version of what device would be required to "snatch" this guy off the street.
Suffice it to say, this is Mystal's shtick. He says absurd, mostly racist things with no basis in reality to get attention from a small, uneducated audience. Hence, his byline at The Nation and being a mainstay at MSNBC. He's the Temu version of Al Sharpton.
He has criticized black Republicans as being "unintelligent" (hello, projection) and simply there because they do what they are told. Mystal’s other left-wing hot takes include the assertion that the Second Amendment was created by the Founding Fathers to preserve white supremacy and claiming they were, and we quote: “Racist misogynist jerk faces.”

That's who the left props up as an intellectual voice of opposition. A man whose legal acumen gets processed down to 'the Founding Fathers are jerk faces.'
While his comments on getting "snatched up off the street" are just one aspect, go ahead and watch the entire interview in which Mystal goes on a nearly 40-minute fantasy rant about the "fascist" administration.
Also note that Charlamagne, who has had some criticisms of the Democrat Party in the past, offers absolutely no pushback on his insane rhetoric, thereby approving.
