Since leftists have shifted (or expanded) the object of their ire from President Donald Trump himself to Elon Musk and his DOGE efforts, there's been a series of attacks on Tesla vehicles, dealerships, and charging stations. Because nothing says "preserving democracy" like domestic terrorism.
The FBI and Department of Homeland Security have affirmed they are taking these incidents seriously and thoroughly investigating them (in addition to the raft of swatting incidents that have cropped up).
Communication and transparency are my priorities. We work for you, the American citizen.

Our teams are actively working on the Tesla incidents and the swatting incidents, along with our other responsibilities to keep the Homeland safe. Thank you.

From the DOJ press release:
“The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi. “Let this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars.”
- One defendant, also armed with a suppressed AR-15 rifle, was arrested after throwing approximately eight Molotov cocktails at a Tesla dealership located in Salem, Oregon.
- Another was arrested in Loveland, Colorado after attempting to light Teslas on fire with Molotov cocktails. The defendant was later found in possession of materials used to produce additional incendiary weapons.
- In Charleston, South Carolina, a third defendant wrote profane messages against President Trump around Tesla charging stations before lighting the charging stations on fire with Molotov cocktails.
- Each defendant faces serious charges carrying a minimum penalty of five years and up to 20 years in prison.
One would hope that the swift response from law enforcement and the prospect of serving serious jail time for their Tesla terrorism might prompt would-be vandals to reconsider their methods. Perhaps try traditional boycotts. I hear that sometimes bears fruit.
DOGE is finding billions of dollars in wasteful spending, and the Democrats are losing their minds as they realize their gravy train and woke projects are coming to an end.
