Kevin O’Leary Rips ‘Bozo’ Tim Walz for Lauding Tesla Stock Drop, As It’s Shown MN Invests in Musk’s Firm

Canadian investor Kevin O’Leary, known for his role as "Mr. Wonderful" on the ABC show "Shark Tank," was less than wonderful in recent criticism of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

Walz (D), at a town hall-style event on Tuesday, mocked Tesla over falling stock prices and said an app he has that reminds him of the news gives him a little "boost" to his day.

You know, like the step stool he probably uses to reach the top cabinets in his kitchen.

Aside from being a wink and a nod to violent vandals targeting Tesla dealerships, Walz's celebration of the stock situation is also incredibly ignorant.

Fox News National Correspondent Bill Melugin notes that while "Walz gloats about Tesla stock dropping," the state of Minnesota was heavily invested in the company.

According to its website, the Minnesota State Board of Investment (SBI) "serves the State of Minnesota by investing the assets of state and local employee benefit plans, other public retirement savings plans, tax-advantaged savings plans, and non-retirement assets."

SBI had "served the state" by investing in Tesla, and Walz was the Chair of the Board.

O'Leary responded to the news in a panel segment with CNN's Abby Phillip, correctly pointing out that Walz is a "bozo."

“That poor guy didn't check his portfolio and his own pension plan for his state," he fired back. "It's beyond stupid what he did. He's talking down a 3.5% weight in his own pension plan."

"I mean, what's the matter with that guy? He doesn't check the well-being of his own constituents in the state?" O'Leary continued. "That's their investment fund. What a bozo!"

The phrase "beyond stupid" seems to be a resume enhancer in the Democrat party, which would probably explain why Walz has continued to be a never-ending fountain of absurdity over the past several weeks. It seems pretty clear that he's running.

O'Leary's commentary echoed that of White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who told reporters yesterday that Walz "is living a sad existence after his devastating defeat on November 5th."
