Our hearts go out to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing, and our thoughts are always with them and their families. The cover story we are publishing this week falls within the traditions of journalism and Rolling Stone’s long-standing commitment to serious and thoughtful coverage of the most important political and cultural issues of our day. The fact that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is young, and in the same age group as many of our readers, makes it all the more important for us to examine the complexities of this issue and gain a more complete understanding of how a tragedy like this happens.

The year was 1972 and the Rock Group Dr. Hook paid light-hearted homage to the media presence that was then Rolling Stone Magazine in the video above. Getting your picture on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine was a significant career milestone. It differentiated rock stars from journeyman acts that hadn’t made it all the way up the ladder quite yet. In the year AD 2013, it appears the standards have fallen precipitously.

As you can see in the picture above, this month’s issue features a murderous, delusional welfare bum who probably couldn’t figure out how to connect a Fender Strat-O-Caster to it’s attendent amp. Making it to the cover of the Rolling Stone Magazine is yet another place where societal decline has set in and we all have to just accept a certain haunting sense of ennui. We should make allowances for the inevitable lowering of norms that comes with sacrificing previous cultural maxims to the vital and necessary dogmas of multicultural acceptance and diverse, coexistence within…WRRRRIIIPPP!!!!!

The dude on the cover of that magazine is Dzhokar Tsarneav. He expressed his unique and interesting perspective by blowing up an 8 year-old with a homemade bomb. Tsarneav came to this country and was taken in as a refugee. He was educated in our High Schools and protected by our police and fire fighters. The man was paid to do flippin’ nothing by our overly-generous social welfare system.

Tsarneav then repays this human kindness by blowing people up at one of our nation’s iconic sporting events. And these detestable morons at Rolling Stone Magazine feature him as a teen heart-throb? Did they actually believe their own propaganda about examining the complexities of the issue? If so I can help them do so in just one paragraph.

There is no complexity here. Our government gave welfare payments to a thug who took the money and then blew up a child. Strip away the propaganda trappings and Timothy McVeigh, Ted Kaczynski and Anders Breivik aren’t particularly deep or interesting individuals either. These people don’t have issues; they have cheap excuses for their inhuman depravity that don’t stand up to any serious intellectual scrutiny.

You could go to Tsarneav’s Facebook page and hear his YouTube videos about “The Emergence of Prophesy.” But unless you totally believe being a Muslim gives you religious carte blanche to randomly blow up children for your faith, Tsarneav can stow it away with the rest of the garbage. This is exactly what you can do with this month’s issue of Rolling Stone Magazine.
