President Trump didn’t ignore Rosanne’s wishes when she asked people to not defend her over her tweet about Valerie Jarrett, but he simply couldn’t resist commenting when he heard the news that Bob Iger, the chairman of The Walt Disney Co. which owns ABC, called Jarrett to apologize on behalf of the company. Iger then announced publicly that ABC was canceling Roseanne.
This clearly rubbed the president the wrong way as he tweeted a truly pathetic, butthurt statement on Wednesday (using both first and third person to refer to himself, naturally).
Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that “ABC does not tolerate comments like those” made by Roseanne Barr. Gee, he never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC. Maybe I just didn’t get the call?

Trump tweeted:
“Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that ‘ABC does not tolerate comments like those’ made by Roseanne Barr. Gee, he never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC. Maybe I just didn’t get the call?”
An alleged adult wrote that.
Now, ABC is the home of shows like The View and employs Joy Behar and Whoopie Goldberg who regularly criticize, ridicule and mock Trump and never hear a word from the bosses. But Trump knows that and ABC is exactly the type of media outlet he and his supporters love to hate.
Pointing out the double standard is well and good but it can be done without acting like Veruca Salt demanding a golden egg laying goose.
