Fox News’ Shepard Smith took apart the conspiracy regarding Uranium One, the Obama administration, and the Clinton’s in short shrift Tuesday.

Shep is no conservative. Indeed, he’s often the lone “liberal” host in a sea of right-leaning (on air) colleagues.

The Uranium One deal is worth looking at, but even Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a House Judiciary Committee hearing Tuesday he doesn’t believe there needs to be a special counsel to investigate the transaction.

If nothing else, it’s a reminder that investigating and prosecuting past administrations, regardless of tough campaign talk, is never in the interest of a current administration.

Fox News mega-personality, Sean Hannity, in particular, has been obsessed with the Uranium One conspiracy.

Transactions like Uranium One deserve to be looked at, but when the conspiracy takes on a life of its own, a reminder of how unremarkable the event was in actuality is necessary.
