Kids at a Houston shelter received a very special visit from Marvel Comics hero, Peter Parker, a.k.a. Spiderman.

As any parent knows, seeing children dealing with difficult circumstances tugs on heartstrings. As the mom of a nine-year-old girl, thinking about my daughter at the various ages of the children being caught on camera in the Houston-area this week, I can only imagine how being a parent feels during such a disaster.

Thankfully, there are individuals who realize how something as simple as dressing up as a character kids love and visiting them during the very worst of times brings a relief and joy to not only the children, but I’d argue possibly more so to the parents and guardians.

Watch the video with the sound up. While the little kids seem speechless to see Superman in the flesh, the parents around the kids sound truly delighted by the thoughtful visit.
