We're seeing the craziness going on with the riots in France and in Italy.

But as we look at it, we should keep something in mind: that could so easily happen here in America if we don't recognize what's going on and work to stop it.

As we reported, Republicans like House Speaker Mike Johnson (LA-04) were condemning it, calling out the radical leftist influence of the riots and the problem of open borders.

You would think that would be the normal reaction from anyone.

But while the right is calling it out, what are the Democrats saying? Well, let's look at the posturing from the guy who has thoughts about 2028, Rep. Ro Khanna (CA-17). This is something else.

From the high schools of France to the streets of Madrid to the universities of Tirana, young people are telling their governments the same thing: in an age of massive wealth inequality, they want a future they can believe in.

In France, students and teachers are asking for safe schools, enough teachers and smaller classes.

In Spain, for affordable rent and housing.

In Albania, for good jobs and an end to corruption.

@JDVance says this is what happens when a nation lets in too many immigrants from the global south.

He is not just morally wrong, but misreading the moment.

The is what happens when nations let wealth and power accumulate in the hands of a few.

This is what happens when young people lose hope in their future.

In America, let us listen to our young. We need an economic and political transformation. America's Next New Deal.

Unbelievable. You notice what isn't there? Any condemnation of the violence. Any concern about the radical and extremist elements involved in that violence. He completely falls for this line that it's about "students," "schools," or "corruption." Talk about completely misreading the situation.

Notice how he also relies on that old, false saw about "the evil rich" being the reason they're unhappy. I'll believe him when Khanna, who is extremely wealthy, gives up some of his wealth.

No, this is all about getting more radical leftist/extremist power.  They're not just "unhappy"; they're attacking police, injuring hundreds. They're burning down historic buildings and symbols of France - and that's with a message that those things are targeted. Those are the things they want to trample underfoot.

Khanna wants us to make all the same radical mistakes that are already failing in Europe, the mistakes that have failed wherever they have been tried. France has already tried the response Khanna suggested (Ro doesn't know that, apparently). French President Emmanuel Macron tried the "young people have a point" avenue last week. Look how that worked out. Things actually got worse after that. Why? Because it shows you are weak, and if they push more, they can get more.

But if there's any reason why we should vote against the Democrats in November (and there are a lot of reasons), this is a golden one: we must do all we can to keep this kind of idiocy out of power.

Khanna naturally got a lot of backlash to that post, so much so that he had to come out with another one, trying to clean up the mess. But it took about three hours.

I unequivocally condemn violence and vandalism. I have always championed my grandfather's example of non-violent protest.

Let us not be blind to the anger young people have against the unholy alliance of wealth and power. The billionaires buying politicians. The corruption.

Too late, and doubling down on the bad take. You can't clean it up now.

But this is where the Democrats are now. And this is why they must be defeated.
