Iran Finds Out It's a Bad Idea to Challenge US Blockade, While Trump Drops a Big Message to the IRGC

What's that saying about when someone keeps doing the same thing and expecting a different result?

The Iranian regime was at it again on Wednesday, trying to slip an oil tanker past the U.S. naval blockade into their oil installation at Kharg Island. Except things did not go well, since the U.S. is enforcing the blockade and not letting vessels out of or into Iranian ports.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) explained in an X article how they delivered an explosive message to the ship for failing to comply, when they were told to stop in the Arabian (Persian) Gulf.

U.S. forces enforced naval blockade measures against Iran, July 15, by disabling an unladen oil tanker attempting to sail toward an Iranian port in the Arabian Gulf.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces observed Curacao-flagged M/T Belma transiting international waters toward Kharg Island. The commercial vessel ignored multiple warnings as it attempted to violate the U.S. blockade. A U.S. aircraft disabled the vessel after firing hellfire missiles into the ship’s smokestack. The ship is no longer transiting to Iran.

That's an understatement.

CENTCOM noted:

U.S. forces resumed the naval blockade against vessels transiting to or from Iranian ports and coastal areas at 4 p.m. ET on July 14. During the first 24 hours of enforcement, CENTCOM has redirected two compliant commercial vessels and disabled one non-compliant vessel.
U.S. forces remain vigilant and prepared to ensure full compliance.

CENTCOM also said that as of 3 PM ET, they'd also launched the second wave of attacks on the day targeting Iranian military capabilities.

At 3 p.m. ET, U.S. forces launched operations for a second wave of strikes today against Iran. The strikes are targeting Iranian military capabilities used to threaten vessels freely transiting through the Strait of Hormuz, an international waterway vital to global commerce. The U.S. military is holding Iran accountable at the Commander in Chief's direction.

President Donald Trump was also asked by Fox News, "You came to the conclusion that you couldn't negotiate with the IRGC. Does that mean that you might wipe them out like you did ISIS?"

He replied, "Yeah, it does. We will see what's happening. We received a call, just as I was coming here, that they want to meet. They always want to meet."
