Freddy, the World Cup tourist from Germany, has been having the road trip of a lifetime as he and his crew drive across America.
He's been to the Johnson Space Center, met astronauts, and got to sit in the commander's seat of the Orion trainer capsule. He was invited to country singer Ella Langley's concert and got to meet her after posting about admiring her music as they drove.

In fact, he got so many gifts that he was having trouble getting them on the plane as he tried to travel to Toronto to go to the next game between Germany and the Ivory Coast.
It’s a mess. We have way too much luggage. My suitcase alone is 11 pounds over the limit.😵 pic.twitter.com/rHyqfqjhAw

They had started with just hand luggage, and then Langley gave them suitcases to help out, but it was still a challenge.
However, then there was a problem. The weather caused Freddy's flight to be cancelled, and he couldn't get on a flight until the next evening. Meaning he would miss the game.
Our connecting flight from Dallas to Canada has been canceled due to weather. They rebooked us on a flight tomorrow evening.

We‘re gonna miss the Germany match💔
But then, because I think we're the nicest hosts ever, everyone inundated Freddy, offering suggestions or help to get to Toronto, like driving to other cities and flying out from there

Then American Airlines and others reached out to Freddy. He even got an offer of a private jet.
Not on our watch, Freddy. Check your DMs 😉

That's a pretty nice offer.
Freddy then announced that American and JJ Watt made it happen, so they were on their way to Buffalo.
UPDATE: We’re on the plane to Buffalo!!! American Airlines was incredibly helpful and made it possible for us to get on this flight. A special thank you to @JJWatt for organizing it while we were in the air to Dallas. Big thanks as well to everyone else who offered their help.🙏 pic.twitter.com/g6pNxTYQUM

“Freddy is an international treasure. Weather may have tried to stand in the way, but the match — and Freddy — must go on,” American said in a statement.“We’re glad we were able to get Freddy on his way this evening, and we thank our team members across our operation for caring for him on his way to the pitch.”
Watt is the former Houston Texans player who helped Freddy when he was in Houston.

Goodbye USA for now. It’s been a blast.
See you in a few days. pic.twitter.com/NNM0zTUKkb
But he said they'd be back in a few days. That's when we may see if he makes it to the White House.
