The Obama Presidential Center had its opening ceremony on Thursday in a typical Obama fashion: long on talk and Hollywood celebrities.
Who would want to listen to any of those folks for the three hours this went on? My colleague Bob Hoge hit some of the highlights earlier, from the opening land acknowledgement to some of the pretentious Barack Obama remarks. He also noted the great response from the Trump team - that the "Builder in Chief" (President Donald Trump) was cleaning up the mess left behind in D.C., on which Obama had "underdelivered."

But the Obamas are nothing if not unhappy, snippy people, and they proved that in the subtle shots that they tried to take without naming Trump. He's obviously living rent-free in their heads.
Obama appeared to throw shade with a "No Kings" reference.
“But out of the fire and steel of a revolution, a different story took flight on this continent a declaration that we are all created equal, endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights, and that in the newly independent United States there will be no kings or lower, no serfs or subjects, but only citizens.”
Yeah, and so? We still have no kings, no matter how much Democrats act as though we do, or cry "fascist," whipping up people against the Trump administration.
Michelle Obama was less subtle when she made a reference to her husband's "achievements," including a "peace prize."

Michelle Obama praised her husband for “ending a war, ordering the bin Laden raid, saving an auto industry, winning a peace prize.'
You can hear Hillary Clinton cackling loudly and see Obama laughing next to her.
But it's more of a comment on them. Obama didn't do anything to earn that peace prize, and everyone knows that. In fact, he started a lot of conflicts, including military action in Libya for eight months. Imagine how hard up you have to be to search for achievements to cite that. And other stuff on that list of "achievements" is questionable as well.
Michelle did it to throw shade at Trump. But Trump has gotten the results, helping to stop multiple conflicts. Whether he ever gets the prize, he has the results that Barack Obama does not.
Hillary will never be president, no matter how jealous she is of Trump for defeating her. So she can cackle till the cows come home, and she'll still be the unhappy character she is.
Michelle Obama also went on about how important "dreamers" were: "They are America."

Failing to see the humanity "puts us all at risk," she said.
No, failure to enforce immigration law is what really puts that rule of law at risk.
Michelle also apparently missed the news about the Dreamer who was arrested for alleged involvement in the terror plot against the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House.

But what a perfect example of how petty they can be.
