The Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, testified before the House Homeland Security Committee on Thursday about global threats to the United States.
But Democrats tried to go after her on such things as immigration policy and the deployment of the National Guard to Washington, D.C. Rep. Bennie Thompson (MS-2) even dared to call the shooting murder of a National Guard member, Sarah Beckstrom, an "unfortunate accident." An Afghan national who was let into the country under Joe Biden was arrested in the shooting of Beckstrom and fellow Guard member Andrew Wolfe.
Then, National Counter Terrorism Center head Joe Kent explained the concerning news that there were around 18,000 people let in under Biden who were suspected or known to be connected to terrorism.

That's extremely troubling and highlights the dangers that exist due to the prior administration's failure to address who was entering this country.
Add to that the Democrats and those on the left are trying to thwart the administration's efforts. They've demonized President Donald Trump and Noem, as well as law enforcement involved in enforcing the rules.
Nothing showed how twisted they are at this point more than Noem being verbally assailed by anti-ICE zealots as she left the hearing. I'm not sure why the police let them get so close to her; they should have kept them back more, for safety's sake. But this was a bit crazy. They were screaming at her as she was holding her grandchild and hugging a woman whose son had been killed by an illegal alien.

The clueless radicals yelled, "You are the modern SS and Gestapo!" and shouted about "using a baby as a political tool" - as they were screaming at her and the baby. Who thinks and acts like that? And naturally, they don't care about the mom, Agnes Gibboney, trying to interact with Noem, her son, or giving that moment any respect. Because it's only about them, and what they think. They are not in the right here, and things like this show just how wrong they are.
This was another protester moment during the hearing who dressed like a bishop, yelling that the "Power of Christ compels you" and holding up a Code Pink sign.

If they think they're convincing anyone with this behavior, they're deluded. This kind of behavior shows everyone how off the rails they are.
