Democrats are trying to talk about "affordability" now, as though it's a new word.
They're trying to attack President Donald Trump over prices.
But where were they in the whole context of the economy and costs when Joe Biden was occupying the office, and prices were skyrocketing? They were largely missing in action or trying to deny the effect of the problematic policies.
Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) gave a golden example of this problem when she hypocritically tried to attack Trump over energy prices.

Now, I'm not sure what she was thinking, or maybe it was an intern behind the post. But they weren't looking at it very closely, or checking the dates.
But as you can see, she even got a Community Note as to the big problem with her comment: that the increases started zooming up under Joe Biden, and that he owns almost that whole graph. The Community Note also dinged her description, noting it was about "the average past-due balances of Americans, which soared since 2022" under Joe Biden, rather than the cost of electricity.
Klobuchar earned a healthy ratio of people pointing out how this nailed Biden.

Where was the condemnation when prices were skyrocketing under Biden? Somehow, I'm not seeing that tweet from her. I'm not seeing the condemnation of Biden when the grocery prices were soaring, and inflation was hitting over 9 percent when Biden was "in charge."
This was a bit like the effort the Democrats' X account made in July against Trump on grocery prices when virtually the whole graph pertained to the Biden years.

If you can't even read charts and you aren't honest about what was happening under Biden, how can anyone trust what you are saying now? And Democrats should be apologizing for the years of bad policy under Biden; they should have been holding him accountable for his lies about inflation and doing something to help the American people. They're not even putting out any positive policy now; all they do is attack Trump.
