The Trump administration has been conducting "Operation Charlotte's Web," a large immigration enforcement action, in the Charlotte, North Carolina area over the past week or so. Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino said on Sunday that they've made almost 400 arrests so far. It sounds like a big success.

We've covered some of the action, including a man who allegedly tried to interfere in a CBP action with his van.

About 75 protestors came out in nearby Kannapolis to protest the immigration action on Friday. Most were students from the A.L. Brown High School who walked out of class to participate in the protest.

Police were delegated to the downtown area to ensure safety, according to the Kannapolis Communications Director Annette Keller.

But there was a post by @KimKatieUSA that went viral of the interaction with a police officer. You can hear protesters cursing and abusing this poor cop. One yelled at him, saying he wasn't "even an officer," he was just a "no-life a** b****." The cop stood there and took it. That was until one of the protesters allegedly made the bad move to throw a drink at his head.

Warning for graphic language:

The woman took off running, but the officer then chased her and took her down. You could see him slapping on the cuffs, as other officers then surrounded him to protect him.

The officer's actions infuriated the crowd. You could hear at least one try to claim that the woman hadn't done anything. That took some kind of nerve, under the circumstances. Weren't they watching? They act like they should be aggrieved over her being taken into custody and were screaming at the cops again. What do they think would happen?

Actions can have consequences.

“We believe in every individual’s First Amendment rights, but if any person’s actions become illegal in situations such as these, we have no choice but to take appropriate action in order to protect the people and property of our city,” said Police Chief Terry Spry.

This isn't going to stop ICE or the Border Patrol from doing their jobs, and it sends a big message not to engage in the conduct alleged here.

Editor’s Note: Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
