Mayor Bass Gives Away the Game With Her Latest Remarks About ICE Raids

There have been riots and violent anti-ICE action in the Los Angeles area since Friday.

President Donald Trump called in the National Guard to help after the violence against federal agents, the police, and the property damage erupted.

Meanwhile, Democrats were denying the violence and claiming things were in hand when they weren't. Instead of truly standing focused against the riots, they were spending their time attacking Trump and inciting people.

But now, Mayor Karen Bass has truly given away the game in her latest remarks during a press conference she gave Monday night. She called on the federal government to stop the ICE raids. She claimed that on Thursday, it was peaceful until the intervention of the federal government [the ICE raids].

"I would say, 'Stop the raids, stop the raids period," she ranted. "Give the power back to our governor."

So she's saying stop the law enforcement. That's what the Democrats want out of this.

If you didn't enforce the law, they wouldn't have rioted, so stop enforcing it. That's an insane demand.

But in case it wasn't clear from these remarks, she also spoke on the issue earlier in the day.

"If immigration raids had not happened here, we would not have the disorder," she said. "We do not know where or when the next immigration raids will be, that is the concern."

So the "problem" is the raids and enforcement of the law.

This is where the Democrats are at this point. They don't want the law enforced against illegal aliens. Her initial statement on Friday was they "will not stand for this," meaning the ICE enforcement, not the riots.

With most normal leaders, their first concern/responsibility would be for the safety of their citizens, not how to protect illegal aliens. People are rioting because we're enforcing the law, so stop enforcing the law is not a take we should ever be seeing from a "leader."

But she can yell all she wants; no one is stopping the ICE raids, as U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli confirmed. The feds aren't going to stop. Now, President Donald Trump not only has the National Guard on the ground, but they are sending in the Marines.

The Democrats are not going to get what they want. They are only making themselves look more extreme to the American people by the moment with these positions.
